I apparently can’t help myself - does chili require beans or are beans verboten? What is a chili?

Yes on beans if eating it by itself, no for chili dogs/burgers or dips.

There are two types of people in this world.

Those who make their chili without beans

And those who are clueless and don't know how to make chili.

I will eat with or without beans.

I am happy to eat it either way, but beans are out for me due to dietary restrictions.

Without is true chili
With is still chili, but an adaptation

This is the approach of an enlightened Texan.

I’m happy to eat it either way, but when I make a pot, it’s got beans.

Prefer with beans, but won't turn down either as long as it's good.

Skyline is the devil's work.

Skyline is a great place to go #2 when sharing a hotel room with 3 other people, 2 women, one your date and the other her friend. Just saying! If there’s one across the parking lot, take advantage.

Yes, and more than one type. Otherwise it's just thick spaghetti sauce like that Cinci crap.

Normally mine has the red kidneys but at times I go without

Wife is vegetarian. I have a no meat and beans "chiili" recipe w/veggies. :( ...yeah, I live in SF, CA. Things like that happen here.

I feel your pain brother.

Well that pain is called alimony and child support, but I can at least eat whatever I want, 😂.

Which is very little anymore since I got tired of being a lard ass.

If I go bean, a can of black beans is more my style. Y’all can have my share of the kidney beans. I don’t hate em. Don’t love em.
