A question on Reddit got me thinking. Do you chip with your glove on or off? In that thread, a lot of (self professed) low handicap golfers said chipping without a glove is essential for feel.

I only take my glove off to putt. I"m also a butcher around the greens (but getting better!) so am the wrong person to ask....lol.

Glove off. Not sure why but started doing it at some point and became a habit. Plus it's already off before hitting the putting green.

Most of the time I leave it on but occasionally it will be off

I keep my glove on. Not sure what people are trying to feel. I judge my distance based on my backswing and how fast I'm moving the club. After the ball is gone, I don't really care what it felt like as I'll know whether or not I hit it well regardless. I'm more concerned with keeping a solid grip so I can deliver the club how I want.

my glove stays on the whole round, though i do unsnap the wrist or pull the velcro closure off when putting so that it's a much looser fit. My hands sweat a fair amount so the off/on gets to be a real pain in the butt. The putting on a wet/damp glove is chore and not worth the effort. I tried having 2 gloves to cycle through, during a round and that wasn't worth it... A few years ago i just decided to leave the glove on all the time.

Off for any shots inside of 50 yards except greenside bunker shots. Always felt more comfortable with a glove on hitting out of bunkers for some reason.

Usually on. Most of the time I only take it off once I step foot on the green. I guess it's just part of my process. No real rhyme or reason.

I dont ever take my glove off, even to putt. For no other reason than taking the glove off will make it easier to lose. I lose everything.

Usually off.

I am lazy. The glove stays on for everything. Even putting.

I've tried taking it on and off and it's never made any difference to me.

I don't really wear a glove much at all anymore on any shot unless really hot and humid out, but even the I would leave off probably. I am no low handicapper though.

Glove on for all shots except putting.

50 and in its glove off, even in bunkers. I want complete connection with the club. I don‘t know why, but since i started doing that my chipping massively improved.

Glove off. Just like in putting, I believe it to be all about feel.

Glove is usually off

I was glove off, but now I’m glove on with the back unfastened. I’m trying to relax my hands but need the “grip” of the glove to hang on.

Yeah, it’s ******* stupid. It’s just a little reminder.

Most of the time its off, better feel I guess maybe its just mental but seems to work when it works

Glove on. Without it I feel naked lol

ON but I leave mine on to putt as well I know this makes me odd but I can live with that

Always glove off

Glove is off.

Exact same here.

i take it off but have no idea why i do it

There were times where I either forgot to take my glove off or felt rushed and putted with my glove on. I know it most likely makes no difference for a hack like me but it felt weird and I felt less confident for some reason. Lol. I get mad when I forget to take it off to putt. Haha! 🤷‍♂️

I never wear a glove, so off.
