This has been in the works for a while and tomorrow it will be announced as official. Club Champion has acquired top Canadian fitter and builder Tour Experience Golf.

From the press release
“We are incredibly excited to bring Ian and his crew into the Club Champion family,” said Nick Sherburne, co-founder of Club Champion. “We’re looking forward to bringing the best of both our capabilities together to serve every golfer.”

This integration marks the first time that Club Champion will bring their club fitting services beyond USA borders. Simultaneously, this represents a massive opportunity for the TXG brand; the intent behind this merger is to further expand custom club fitting services across the Canadian golf market and to bring some crossover to the fitting content available for all golfers from both brands.

“There has always been a mutual admiration between TXG and Club Champion,” said Ian Fraser, TXG’s founder. “We share a similar belief that every golfer deserves the best possible equipment for their game, and now we get to work together to further that message.”

The online presence of both brands will be bolstered by this acquisition and allow for both to expand their content capabilities. Club Champion has an in-house studio and production crew, while Fraser and his team have built an incredible digital platform through social channels, including YouTube. TXG has amassed millions of views across the digital board, with 175K subscribers on YouTube alone at the time of publication. Their existing content strategy will lend itself well to Club Champion’s growing presence, and both brands will lean on each other to produce even more quality content for golfers of all levels.

“We’ve got a podcast, they’ve got a podcast. They’ve got awesome video content and we’ve only just started dipping our toes into that lake,” says Adam Levy, CEO of Club Champion. “This partnership is about so much more than just the masterful club fitting and building services we both offer. It’s about bringing two of the most prominent names in the golf equipment industry together to promote the best possible clubs, the best possible experience, and the best possible service you can find this side of a Tour card.”

That’s incredible! Wow! Not sure what this truly means for TXG content but time will tell.

Interesting. The knowledge from Ian and the guys can step up Club Champions game and the capital from Club Champion can spread that knowledge farther. Either way they won't be giving fittings away for free. Stupid MGS.

Fun - we get to share with Canada! Here's to an influx of new Canadian THP'ers due to custom fittings over the next year or two! Welcome friends from the north.

Wow that's huge. I really liked the TXG videos

WOAH... this is kind of big it feels like.

I really enjoy the TXG content I hope that doesn't change.

Did Club Champion have a Canadian presence before this?
Doesn’t look like it per the third paragraph of JB’s post.

yeah, be interested to see how it impacts txg content

Any guesses at the price TXG brought?

I hope we don't lose TXG videos. I love their club reviews, I just wish they had a more average golfer doing the swinging. I'll never be able to hit a ball like "Matty boy"

🤯 Will they merge under a singular brand or will TXG be the north operations while Club Champion is the American operations but work off the same parameters of fitting?

i'm happy that ian is cashing out (i assume), and hopefully matty is getting a piece as well. together they have built something pretty cool. the two brands seem to have almost identical fitting philosophies, which is great. here's to hoping the content only improves.

Curious to see where this goes for the long term. TXG is unique for their content, I hope CC still lets them run the content the way they have been.

I would think/hope there’s no way you can absorb TXG and let the brand disappear.

This is a shocker! I didn't see this coming at all.

I don't think there would be any good reason to lose them at all - They are a nice gap bridge between review and fitting, and only serve to better tell the Club Champion story.

Whoa. Wasn't expecting this.

This is a win win!

They were/are Canada's version of Club Champion (Ian Fraser was originally a partner).
If I want a higher end brand agnostic fitting in western Canada, I go to Modern Golf.
