He’s been Duke’s HC 41 years!
Great coach and person. Not another coach out there that will be able to do what he has done at DUKE. Hear they think Jon Scheyer will be the next coach.
Probably coincidental, but interesting he retires soon after the crackdown on shoe companies paying and encouraging top recruits to go to certain schools.
Hardest job to follow for college basketball for sure. He made that program such a powerhouse over the years.
Good for him, he’s getting old, let him enjoy the time off and not have to worry about the grind of the season and off season
My son took last Fall off at Duke due to Covid. Glad he did so he can enjoy K's last ride in person.
Senior Night against Carolina next March is going to be some scene.
First UNC coach Roy Williams and now Coach K. The ACC is going to look much different without those two legends.
thanks, it popped up on the local Raleigh news as breaking and I didn’t see it on the top of the board so I thought it was hot off the presses.
they are doing the same thing as UNC where they bring in the in-house guy to give some space before a big name hire. Both coaches will be tough act to follow.

Coach K is a class act. He won't be replaced. More like a new normal.
