I know there are a ton of THPers that have been waiting for these threads. THP has had these on the Tour Van for all of our members to hit at the Tour Van Events this past month.

COBRA Golf is bringing something juicy (again!) with the launch of the AMP CELL and AMP CELL Pro Drivers. Unlike any other driver available in the market, the AMP CELL and AMP CELL Pro Drivers feature COBRA’s new breakthrough MyFly technology, allowing golfers to select from 6 different loft/trajectory settings (in one club) for optimized performance and distance based on a golfers’ swing or weather and course conditions. In addition to MyFly technology, COBRA is reaffirming its status as the first club manufacturer to offer a choice in color by creating the AMP CELL Driver in four fresh colors - Silver, Directoire Blue, Barbados Red and Vibrant Orange.

“The AMP CELL Driver offers golfers the adjustability, innovation, customization and choice they want but have not been able to get - until now,” said Bob Philion, President. “We are taking adjustability to another level with our MyFly technology, offering 6 different loft/trajectory settings golfers can change to adapt to their swing or playing conditions. The technology combined with the color choice reaffirms COBRA’s positioning as a performance driven brand infusing more joy into the game.”

MyFly Technology offers a simple solution for golfers to optimize trajectory and distance. The AMP CELL Driver can be adjusted to the following lofts with a simple wrench; 8.5°, 9.5°, 9.5° Draw, 10.5°, 10.5° Draw and 11.5°; and the AMP CELL Pro can be adjusted to 7.5°, 8.5°, 8.5° Fade, 9.5°, 9.5° Fade and 10.5°. Golfers can now customize their club based on swing speed (higher lofts for slower swing speeds and lower lofts for faster swing speeds), weather (lower lofts to bring ball flight down on windy days) and course conditions (higher lofts for more carry).

The AMP CELL and AMP CELL Pro take adjustability a step further with SmartPad technology. Unlike other drivers that require a golfer to adjust the sole plate after adjusting loft for a square face, COBRA’s proprietary SmartPad technology delivers a square face at address regardless of loft setting and still allows for workability to slightly open or close the face as desired.

COBRA’s E9 Face Technology[SUP]TM[/SUP] with dual roll is used in the AMP CELL and AMP CELL Pro Drivers for an elliptical face shape with a canted bulge and roll that improves distance and accuracy on mis-hits from heel to toe and above and below the centerline.

Advanced Material Placement[SUP]TM[/SUP] and Cell technology work together to enable a 12% larger elliptical E9 Face shape to deliver faster ball speeds and high MOI (moment of inertia) on mis-hits. The Cell technology saves and redistributes weight in a granular way and is visible on the drivers in the Cell band which wraps around to the crown. This wrap also visibly shows a golfer where the weight is distributed, with the AMP CELL Driver having a CG optimized for low-mid handicap players, the AMP CELL Pro using a lower, more neutral CG position for better players and the AMP CELL Offset have a heel-biased CG for slice correction.

Taking choice and customization one step further, COBRA is offering the AMP CELL Driver in four fresh colors; Directoire Blue, Silver, Vibrant Orange and Barbados Red. The AMP CELL Pro is offered in Vibrant Orange and Silver. The sole of the club features a curved Cell band in the featured color and the crown of the club is the solid featured color. In the AMP CELL, the white Fujikura Fuel shaft features an edgy paint splatter graphic.

The AMP CELL Driver is also available in an offset model designed to help tame a slice. The offset design offers the golfer more time to square the face at impact and provides more heel-biased weighting to help hit straighter drives. The AMP CELL Offset Driver features an MRC COBRA AMP Shaft and a Lamkin COBRA REL grip. The Offset model is Revolver Grey with hints of Barbados Red.

The COBRA AMP CELL Driver (MAP $299) is available in both right and left handed models with My Fly technology which allows any driver you purchase to be adjusted from 8.5° to 11.5° loft settings, including 9.5° and 10.5° draw settings. It is available in Stiff, Regular and Lite flexes and features a Fujikura Fuel shaft (60g S and R, 55g L and 45.75” length) and has a 460cc head.

The COBRA AMP CELL Pro Driver (MAP $399) is available in both right and left handed models with My Fly technology which allows any driver you purchase to be adjusted from 7.5° to 10.5° loft settings, including 8.5° and 9.5° fade settings. It features a MRC Kurokage shaft (65g and 45.25” length) and has a 440cc head.

The AMP CELL Offset Driver (MAP $249) is available in 10.5° in Stiff, Regular or Lite flexes for both right hand and left hand models. It is also available in a right hand 11.5° model in either Regular or Lite flexes.

These two clubs are BEAST!! From reading this, I must think there was the AMP CELL Pro on hand. The one I was hitting was set to 8.5 degrees. The driver felt great in my hands, and boy did the ball feel like it shotgunned off the face. I just picked up an AMP, but I may have to look into these when they are released.

I love how easy it is to tell which setting you are on. The colors look great in person. I think Cobra has a winner on it's hands with this one.

That AMP Cell Pro is calling my name. I need to hit this!

Having had the opportunity to hit this in Des Moines, I can say that it is legit!

Cobra simply knocked it out of the park by bringing loft adjustability without affecting face angle in an easy to adjust & understand package.

The colors are HOT, the price is right - this is going to be a great club I think for many out there. I can't want to get my grubby hands on one again!!

I have got to hit this, that red Amp is calling my name.

Had a chance to see the catalog a couple of weeks ago, must say I was impressed. Really liking the silver finish myself. Glad to see positive feedback from those who have had a chance to hit them at the tour stops.

These are some great looking drivers.
It will be great to read up on the coming reviews.

I really like the adjustability of these clubs. I think the blue is calling my name!

Very interesting...can't wait to see these in person on Saturday (assuming they are on the van).

Pretty interesting design there, and the loft adjustability without opening or closing the face is a pretty sweet piece of technology.

So this is what has been getting the rave reviews!

That's some really interesting technology. How on Earth did they make it so you can adjust the loft and face angle separately? And with such a spread?

Why hell yea! Hmmmmmmm this one is awful tempting for the ole snake charmer :golf2: and since blue is my favorite color, this model could be had :D. I like the sliver one too and I bet DawgDaddy would go ape over the red one :act-up:. Man I look forward to test driving this puppy at the Tour outing :blob:!!!

I didn't have the opportunity to hit this driver at the AC outing (rained out on demo day!). But, I'd love to try it out.

Looks like Cobra has a winner already with the amounts of positive feedback from the Tour Van events. The Cobra staffers will be very happy methinks.

This fairway wood! Man oh man.

It was on the 4wood setting. It was launching like a 5 wood and carrying like a 2 wood for me. Kmac and I flatout mashed these.

I like that they are continuing the things about the AMP that I liked so much and then adding some extrememly easy tech for loft adjustment. I think it's a good improvement on what was already a very solid offering.

Oh I likes the sound of these! Cobra bringing something new to the adjustable wood market. Maintaining face angle with loft adjustment is nice!

So does the head come off for adjustment?

YES...hit this big daddy and his little brother in Des Moines! The FW is calling my name and will be the first of it's kind in my bag. The ease of loft adjustability in the driver and the fact that the face is not opened or closed is huge for me.

Both these upcoming offerings were an absolute blast to hit and must be put on your hit list this weekend in Atlanta. The ball just grabs it's passport and asta lavista baby!

Now...to get a B Asha 5X and hmmmm.

This is what I was so impressed with. Same sound and feel of the AMP that most seemed to really like, but adding some tech that might be the easiest to use out there is just perfect.

Very cool, looks great.

I did not take it completely off when I adjusted the FW wood, but I believe that it does.

Cheers Cookie. Already pondering the possibility of shaft changes is probably wrong! :D

Well, I can tell you after watching multiple guys hit the driver and FW wood that the stock shaft is a SOLID offering. No doubt about that.

Finally! This driver is the real deal. I think they improved on the amp driver which I was already impressed with. Def on my ponder list especially with so many great upgraded shaft options.
