Gearheads, get ready because release season is officially here! It might feel like this launch is happening earlier than usual, but Cobra has something incredibly special for golfers that, frankly, they couldn’t wait any longer. Today, Cobra unveils their newest driver lineup, the DS-ADAPT, which is being touted as the fastest and most fittable driver […]

Wow those are some cool variations to the drivers and they're really checking off a lot of boxes for people.

And that adapter, 33 setting!!! People going to be tinkering all day at the ranges

FUTUREFIT33 is game changing.

The fact that it’s not biased one way or the other like every other adapter on the market, and uncouples loft and lie, is absolutely game changing.

Right now I’ve got the LS in F2, so -1.4 loft, but +1.4 lie, lower loft with draw bias.

That’s not even getting into how fun the driver has been so far for me/

Wow - can’t wait to try some of these out!

The new laser face etching is interesting. The face on the dark speed I struggled with the alignment visuals.

Holy. 33 settings is a fitter/tinkerers dream, and that face looks awesome. Really cool to see a pretty widespread model release with something to fit everyone, I am guessing some MC all-stars and hopefuls are real excited to read this one!

Woohoo!!

These are so sick. The FutureFit is just awesome and I've already got it pretty much locked in my brain. I thought I'd never actually look at the chart, because it's really to easy at the adapter, but my eyes kind of suck so I have had to memorize it a bit. But separating loft and lie like that feels long overdue and big shout out to @Master Yagley and his team for changing the game on these!! You're going to see some fun flight adjustment visuals in advertising.

I'm 10.5 LS A4 but that might change a bit with some physical stuff going on right now and that's actually kind of exciting. But the difference between the 10.5 and 9 with the pwr bridge is pretty awesome and I love how they thought about the actually needs of someone playing those heads in a 10.5. I need the launch and some separation there made me practically jump for joy when I found out about it. Lol

It will be interesting to see the types of players and swings that fit the different Max-K and Max-D heads this time. Really curious to get those in people's hands are start seeing who and how they individually benefit.

I LOVE the changes to the face. It's so much better to look down on imo. The Darkspeed looked mean but there were some complaints about how little visual separation there was from crown to face. These frame the ball miles better.

So excited these are finally here and everyone gets to hit them. Go do it!!!

And like I said a while back there couldn't be a better time for so many Morgan Cup veterans to be delivering their experiences with these game changers to the forum!

Great write up @ddec

I am super excited about a forgiving driver without draw bias. I want to try a Max-K 10.5* out for certain. This new adapter sleeve also tickles my little tinkering heart.

Great writeup! Holy adjustability! Great looking driver too!

Also, bravo Cobra on the price. I appreciate holding steady on price while offering a top notch product and continuing to improve it year to year.

Great writeup @ddec. I love what Cobra is coming out with, the LS and X having different internal weight settings with the 9 and 10.5 degree heads is super interesting. The 10,000 MOI Max K offering super forgiveness (although it should be noted that the 12* head is not 10k MOI it's 9800). The Futurefit33 adapter is mind blowing and when @LittleRat passed those around at the 2024 Morgan Cup presentation we were all amazed. The use of the Denali as the stock shaft is one I cannot wait to try. Now I just need to figure out which of the Drivers will best fit me.

Great read @ddec

You've already heard me say this, but I need that Max-K in my life.

Great write-up @ddec . Lots to take it, and looking forward to hearing more results from testing.

It really is amazing, isn't it?

We had a chance to sit down with Jose for about 90 minutes last week. We obviously spent a portion of that time talking the adapter, and I came away feeling like it was much easier to understand than I expected. I know you are aware of how it works, and that it's fun to talk about!

The biggest things that I think simplified it are:
  1. Each dot represents a ball flight. B6 representing a high fade and F2 representing a low draw for example.
  2. If you are hitting the driver and notice a bunch of high fades that correspond with that B6 dot and you want to neutralize and lower, you essentially just need to look at that opposing dot that represents the opposite ball flight and start trying a few of those settings. F2, F1, or F3 for example. By picking the setting that looks like where a low draw would land, you are essentially bringing that B6 ball flight back towards A1.

Obviously some deep dives you can take too in the pursuit of dialing in launch conditions, but that really makes the concept easy to understand for those that are just looking to get the best possible ball flight.

The app really seems intuitive as well. You can input your current ball flight and it will give you the best settings to start with.

The main reason they changed this time around, GW and RF had the same struggles. The new face etching certainly fixes that.

I know some can get cagey about things having an app, but I love the idea that this app could help direct my tinkering so I don’t get lost down a rabbit hole of constantly trying new settings

After getting to sit down with Jose, it’s actually even more brilliant. At first everyone will see all the settings and many will yell into the interwebs “ThAts too dAMn mAnY!”, but it’s not. It’s freaking incredible the ability to dial in this gives.

For me to be able to take this down to 7.6 loft but move it UPRIGHT, that’s wild.

That's the other thing I love about the adapter. Unlike every other adapter out there, you have a full range of lie angle adjustment available, regardless of the loft you choose.

Honestly, while the app is going to be a tremendous asset, all one needs is also on the adapter, it’s super simple. Loft plus or minus, low plus or minus. I was worried if be tired to a graph, but after talking to Jose I don’t know how much I will use the mandala.

It’s incredible. When you finally really dive in, it’s absolutely incredible what it opens up for fitting.

I think I need this driver, NOW.

I really like my DS X but the new adapter will be a game changer for dialing in the best ball flight.

Yes! The visuals, flight overlays on the chart and stuff like that are really awesome and make it so easy to understand how to achieve your goals with it. I know when they did that little leak with the QR code everyone thought it was going to be ridiculously complicated based on the chart alone, but it's really easy for people to wrap their mind around when they see things like that.

And Jose is so great, and fun, but I really did think it was a gift that he was in Europe and I got to here Mike talk through it. With him just being him, and it being his team's brainchild he was like a kid on Christmas showing off a new toy.

I'm already on the move for work today but I'm curious to see which visuals they actually use publicly because I think they're impressive and effective enough that people are really going to want to go and work through it for them. It's pretty dreamy in that way and everyone has something(s) they want to have better result control over like that.

The App .. Yes. Cool. My peoples tend to have mixed feelings about things that tell people what they need before they ever touch the club, lolol, but yeah pretty cool and hopefully makes the the education and understanding part go a little faster.

I really enjoyed my DS LS, but this addresses a lot of the things I hoped it would.

Internet sleuths were wrong again? Whaaaaaaaaat? Hahaha

This has been so insanely fun to hit on the course already. It’s the jump I hoped to see from the LS, while keeping all that speed potential and power.
