Cobra DS-ADAPT Drivers

Maybe I should give it away.

I wonder if I start thinking about the X when the swing comes into form. Definitely digging the Max K but the X is a stone cold looker.

If the Max K works, then let it work its magic for you. Something to be said for a fairway finder!

The HZRDUS black and Max K combo was really working today. Only one bad drive and it was still plenty playable. I can still get it high, but it does allow me to play it a little lower by teeing it lower and swinging a bit shallower. Really starting to find a groove with the Max K.

Range session today with the LINQ Red 8F5 at 44.5 inches was fun. Its not as long as the 1K blue but the dispersion is tightening back up to where it was orginally. Golf.

A1 setting has be with a medium height fade around 300 yards with the 1K. I need another round with the LINQ soon.

Secret-ish. I found a thing. I traded a driver head for said thing. Not sure if I should share it or not as though it’s power-ful to its core, they’re not released yet.

I figured it out guyz. Jman is a PowerRanger.

The 9° and 10.5° Max-K heads will launch differently even set to the same lofts. José answered that for us during some of our team’s discussions recently.

Do you know how much of a difference the launch is? eg will the 10.5 launch 1 degree higher than the 9 set at the same settings?

Local PGA SS running 50% trade in towards just about anything. Went there with intentions to get something but no idea what. I’ve wanted Max K for some time since this thread started, but didn’t have a great experience with the Ping 10k and figured that might be the case here so didn’t want to buy new.
Looking through the pre owned rack and theres a K with a Tensei Red 1K (up charge shaft). Decided to try it…. Not warmed up, first 3 shots absolute lasers literally straight down the line. One goes 312, other two around 306. The feel is insane too…
$449…. Yeah, that’ll do….

Traded in two fws and two old wedges. Got the driver and a sweet new pair of Olukai sandals for $36.

Not sure I’ve been more excited to get a driver to the range…..

That scary as I have the Qi35 Core as well and loving it. I have been ponding about the Cobra DS ADPT X driver for over 2 weeks. I would like to know what decision you do make after you do a club fitting with them.

Driver swing is getting better and the Max-K does a wonderful job of keeping all but my absolute worst swings in play. The driver just gives me so much confidence when I pull it. It looks amazing with the matte black crown. The Denali Red shaft is such a smooth feeling shaft. The sounds is really nice even on those shots not so well struck. Love this driver.

Getting the right loft and FF33 setting has turned the Max K from an ok driver to something that I think might contend as truly memorable at some point.

Gosh, I wish I'd thought of the idea that I needed less loft a long time ago. I think the one thing I didn't really realize is that my ideal combo of launch/spin isn't necessarily going to result in a really high ball. Why? Because I'm not generating enough speed for that. When I was hitting my ideal numbers on the range at Victoria the ball flight was probably mid-height in many eyes, but resulted in the longest carry.

Played my 2nd round of the year with the X in the bag, i dropped the fairway last night and put in the ZXI LS to compare against the X to hopefully decide which one stays. First time i played the Srixon and 2nd time with the X, both really good. The X sounds and feels better but i think the LS may have been a bit straighter. Rotating drivers each hole didn't really give me any indication as to which one has the edge. Really like both so this test will continue but will only take one at a time.

Will do! I go for my fitting at 4pm, so I’ll be sure to report back this evening how it goes. I’m actually nervous since my game has been shaky lately plus I know if I hit this driver better, I know what will happen. Right now with all my research, I am primarily interested in the Max K but we’ll see how they go!

The X is a lot faster than the Qi35, a lot.

Played a fun shorter course with my wife and son today, and absolutely just whipped around the Max K today. Probably the best day I've driven it so far, including a choked down driver swing on the final hole on a 260y par 4 that I drove and stuck the green. The HZRDUS Black is working so well for me paired with the Max K at the moment.

Really good week with the X. Really good.

Better after I made the shaft change, and I was hitting it REALLY well with the Nexus Black prior to this setup.

I'm getting more and more comfortable to not try and force a shape one way, hit a few little intentional bleeders today which fit the golf holes well given the conditions and it really paid off, likewise, I was able to turn it over when I wanted.

Biggest thing for me remains that its a more aggressive trajectory versus the K. I still hit is as high as I want or need, with peaks breaking 35Y, but its a flatter way to the top.

I need to spend a week with the K again, but I'm so smitten with this setup in the X, I don't really want to eff it up.

I would love more time with the X, but the X and K when testing seemed fairly similar for me. At least close enough to make the move for more forgiveness make sense.

For me, its about 8 yards of carry, and more run after with the flatter trajectory that is still HIGH. Given my consistency with the X right now, I just can't kick those gains out of bed.

Yea that'll do for sure.

Unfortunately our fitting day got cancelled due to the rain we’ve gotten this morning, and the past few days. The range is not in condition. I guess we wait til June 6th. Bummer! I was super excited to try the Driver today too

Played in a scramble this morning and tried the DS adapt Max K in C2 with the Ventus TR Blue 6S. Honestly not much to gain from the slightly added loft and slightly more upright lie. I'm going back to A1 in the Denali Blue on Monday for men's league to confirm that this is just a great, straight, fairway finder with a ton of forgiveness in a great sounding and looking package. No need to mess with a nearly perfect thing, for my swing of course....

In today's work league round, I had 2 holes where Driver is the play. Using the 9° X, on the A7 setting and the results were very cool:
13th hole

Nice smooth swing and the ball just kept going.

14th hole

This hole plays uphill change elevation 25 feet over the length of the hole. Played a fade that wound up center cut.

The performance of these DS Adapt drivers is undeniable.
