Cobra DS-ADAPT Fairways and Hybrids

I would love to see the KING TEC hybrid with Fit33 hosel, that would be amazing

Sorry I didn't make myself clear as It doesn't have the 3 weights in the head, thats what I want
Ah, so the older generation of King Tec.

So I did a thing... now that a lot of Cobra fairway woods are on sale, I've decided to move fully into DS-Adapt and the great FF33 adapter for my woods.

The new setup will be the current Max-K driver, new 5W & 7W DS-Adapt X and a new 9W in the DS-Adapt Max. Also ordered my favorite HZRDUS Smoke Red RDX shafts on eBay and some spare adapters, and once everything is in I will be paying my club builder a visit. Super stoked, and can't wait till the new golfing season begins!

You’re gonna love them! These woods are so great and adjustable to whatever fits you best

That is a great setup. Can't wait to hear your thoughts on them when you get them in hand.

Hit the seven word and the 3hf today in the SIM both of them at their stock settings perhaps slightly flat on the seven wood. They were both fantastic
Has everybody is already preached the seven wood is like cheating every shot was launching between 4 and 4500 spin with about 13 to 14 launch easily 110 ft in the air and going about 2:15 carry

Or would was going about 11 to 12° launch with about 3,700 spin and about 230 or so carry. I might try lofting it down by .7 of a degree to just knock a little bit of spin off of it. They are both so consistent !

You know, every year I enter the next season with the understanding that everything in my bag will inevitably change. Whether by testing for my badass job here at THP, or just by me being one of the OG club ho's, change is inevitable.

That said, I take stock in things as one year ends, and the next begins, what has the chance, the real chance, to survive another season.

Historically, in my 16 years (tomorrow) here, there has been only a couple, with the most successful being the OG UW 19.0. The club that has the best chance this year is the one that took that out of my bag this year for the MC.

Yes, I'm talking ADAPT X 7W.

This head turned down to 19 thanks to FF33 and paired with the tree trunk that is the LIN-Q Powercore White 8TX has been a boon to me. Not only is it lethal from the tee, but also the turf. Not only have I learned to hit it stock (high AF) but also flight it. Oh, and I hit it past a lot of people I played rounds with in 2025's drivers.

Thing is, IMO, its not great at any one thing, but good at them all.

I can miss and keep it in play. I can work it when necessary. Its a blast from the rough. It is lethal on all sorts of situations. It also is an absolute crutch for me.

Makes me curious, how many out there this year went and truly TRIED the ADAPT fairways? I mean open mindedly tired them? I think personally with how incredible Elyte was low on the face, some buzz was stolen from these, but they're still top shelf and easily the most underrated fairway of 2025.

Not a damn thing I could add to this. The Adapt X 7w is stupid good (but so is the 3HF). I freaking love hearing this.

Absolutely love my ADAPT X 7w as well, though I hit it about 50 yards shorter than yours 🤣

It’s so great for me on long par 3s and as an approach club on par 5s. Easier to launch than a hybrid, it just feels automatic and effortless. I don’t think I could go back to playing without a 7w, and this particular one is excellent.

I am adding a 7w to the arsenal this year blind. Not even going to think twice about it.

Dude, this makes me inexplicably happy lol

I have a feeling you're going to love it and it will become an absolute weapon for you.

Can’t believe you’ve waited so long! Get ready for some fun

I don't think I'll ever be without one moving forward.

My biggest concern during testing was how high I was hitting it and how far it was going. But with FF33 I think I can figure out something that will work.

Hahaha, I hit it kinda hard. Had 148 ball speed with it the other day. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Its nice that so many OEM's are jumping in and offering now too.

It really is. I almost want to try a 9W as they become more available too, but I'm afraid....

I'll be anxious to hear where you land and have no doubts that you'll be able to dial that baby in with the FF33.

The 7 wood is next level.
On trackman I am hitting it a good 220 and easily with 14 launch and 4000-4500 spin.
This is going to be a great short par 4 and 2nd shot par 5 club.
So. Easy to hit.
Way better than the ping g430.3 wood I had before that was just so inconsistent.

You’ll never know until you try one. I feel like the Cobra OPTM X 9 wood is calling your name!

Dude I’m loving how the bigger hitter are now loving the 7 wood as well. With my slower swing the fairway woods have always been good to me. But to see you, @Lord Tox and @Jman going with them is so fantastic.

I’m only like 100 yards behind @Jman when we hit 7 wood from the same spot, but it does so much for me in allowing me to go at greens and have faith that I can hold it if I hit the green is just amazing. Love the DS Adapt X 7 wood, and the DS Adapt Max 9 wood is right there with it.

Listen, my name doesn't belong in the same breath at @Lord Tox and @Jman but I couldn't agree with you more on the rest. I had always just thought of 7w/9w as "old man" clubs, but I have no problem admitting how wrong I was. The vast array of golfers that can be helped by these fairways is mindblowing and is just that much more testament to how playable Cobra has made their fairways. So freaking good!
