Cobra Expands 3DP: New 3DP MB & 3DP X Irons Announced

they more than one up them.
I'm excited to find a demo to try. Maybe get some numbers to compare against my AMP Cell Pro, but don't see myself ever actually gaming them

@Pops - what are you looking for in these that you may not be getting in the Ti

I'm hoping the birthday party my son is going to is a drop off party. It's not far from a pro shop that should have the new heads and Tours to compare. If they do I'll snap some pics for you all

If I was fortunate enough to get selected for Cobra Classic I would do all in with the X. If I was to order I’m sure I would go mixed and split between 7/8. Video I watched this morning said Rickie has the 3 iron in the X as his driving iron.
There is no 3iron in the X, if that is the case it must be a one off which is pretty cool.

@Pops - grabbed this screen of the CC review. This is SUPER interesting - X had more spin and height compared to Tour, with same carry.

I'm honestly more shocked with the MB numbers. Granted I didn't know the loft was so different from the other 2

I wish I was a robot. I was seeing basically flipped the other day, with a bit more carry from the Tour.

Yea it’s only one data point, but still interesting nonetheless. If I saw similar numbers, I’d be very happy going X.

Hmmm I'm not sure I buy that
Skeptical? Sure…it’s also a controlled test with a robot so it’s not really the most applicable for the real world. Could also be a typo for all we know…

Yes skeptical. I'm not sure that the X, which is 2* lower lofted, not only launched higher but spun more and had a higher peak height than the Tour? Definitely not the case in my experience

Do you remember any of the numbers from your testing by chance?

They mentioned in a different video that the sweet spot of the Tour is actually 5-6mm lower than center. If the ball is above the cg that could be why it's coming out with such low spin and low launch relative to its loft.

I was living sub 5k with the X 7i and it was launching low, but thats me and my swing

That's what I was thinking based on the T100 only being 1.1mm longer in blade.

There's a big difference on top line even in the blade family. For example the 0317ST looks completely different than an MP241 or something.

And I found the 2025 T100 to be more like maybe the P7MC . It's not large , but it's not what you'd consider blade like either although everyone has their definition of that

From the sounds of it the 3DP MB sounds like it's on the bigger side of blades which is fine with me

If the MB doesn't work out, I'm also thinking I'm over 50 now, maybe I should just get the X and play little 3/4 baby fades all day with less effort, get me a 7 and 9 wood and make my money off chipping and putting.

Could be. It was Cobra person who said it.

I’m a Cobra ho. The Tis are the first non cobra clubs that have made my bag in many many years. Played to Kings for 5 season.

I get that. Cobra has been my gamer irons for five years as well. Trying to broaden my search but these get calling to me.

I’d love if it were true. I plan on grabbing a set of X’s, but I don’t put much faith in the CC reviews honestly. For whatever reason, I’ve had very different experiences when testing clubs they review. I’m not sure if it’s how they’re testing, or how they’re presenting the data, but it rarely matches what I see out of a given product.
