Cobra Expands 3DP: New 3DP MB & 3DP X Irons Announced

My initial impressions are very good. Very similar size to the tour perhaps maybe slightly bigger. Top line is definitely thicker, but not by an extra extraordinary amount. Quality is top notch.

I couldn’t wait so I decided to hit a few shots.

I feel like **** so I’m hitting them like ass, but I’m already hitting my clubs 10 to 20 yards further than I was with the regular tours. Keep in mind I’m sick so I’m sure I’m losing a lot of swing speed and contact.

Goodness gracious. These x irons are soooo freaking good. I have them paired with mmt 85s and they are absolutely perfect for me. Spin is right where it needs to be, I gained between 10-25 yards( depending on the club) and they are super forgiving. Ive never had these type of gains from irons before, including the Ti fusion and fusion 250s.

Going to keep testing but my preliminary impression is that these are by far the best irons I had ever used. Worth every penny

I had the 3dp tours for a short period of time, but I got these because I wanted the extra forgiveness. Previous to that I had the titanium fusions, standard and the 250, and previous to that I had the elytes.

Are the X’s considerably more forgiving in your opinion?

It’s too hard to say how much just yet. I’ve only just gotten them today.

I will say that the tour is an absolute phenomenal iron, and that it was also super forgiving. I actually gained yardage on mine compared to the TI fusion but the X is definitely more suited towards me, my handicap, and my swing.

That's what happened to me. Apparently the new 3DP heads meant something different to them. I guess you can join me at Windmill on one of the balmy days we have the rest of the week

We have a high of 17 tomorrow. I'm still stupidly tempted to go to the one location that has them and hit even though they only have outdoor bays. Especially since I should be able to hit the metalwoods as well.
