I'm 72 years young and after a 4 year layoff from golf due to some lingering physical problems, Im jumping back in. I'm looking for a set of irons that will give me back the distance I have lost because of my swing speed. Any recommendations, including going to Sr flex shafts vs R flex? Looking at Cobra and Wilson Staff

The Cobra DS-Adapt Max might be a great spot to start. They present a bigger sole and they get the ball up really well.

I’ll second the DS adapt max tons of forgiveness great distance excellent turf interaction

Aside from the brands mentioned, I would also look into the Tour Edge Hot Launch series.

The new Cobra King and King Max are pretty hot off the face. I saw a lot more distance with those than my regular irons

@Coachtom - I have a DS-Adapt Max 6i head. If you join the Albatross Club it’s your if you send me an address. This way you could test the club and a SR shaft at pretty low risk, plus you get all the other benefits of being an AC Member.
