I see where you've got a bit of a situation- if everything gaps appropriately then yeah it's a difficult decision- I'd be curious if you couldn't do something in that PW/50° area but unsure of your specific gapping.Currently, D, Ping 13 deg Rapture, 3-5H, 6-PW, 50, 54, 58. Could potentially lose the 5H, but that club gets a lot of use on par 3's.
I've thought about swapping the 50, and 54 for a 52, but having to cover 20ish+ yards with 1 club doesn't appeal to me in a scoring club. PW is about 125y, and 50 deg is 105-110.I see where you've got a bit of a situation- if everything gaps appropriately then yeah it's a difficult decision- I'd be curious if you couldn't do something in that PW/50° area but unsure of your specific gapping.
Honestly, I'd consider trying Driver, Mini, 5W if you were going to five this one a go, as the 5W can give a little more versatility for you potentially? That said, with FF33 it would be just as easy to dial this one into the 7W better, so heck, I don't know, hahahahaDo you think I could play the mini driver in place of the 5W? I am thinking of going 3W and 7W for those fairway lies on a par 5, and replacing the 5W for this club exclusively as a tee option.
I go D - Mini - 7w - a bouquet of hybrids and then the restI go D- Mini- UW- hybo irons wedges myself and things gap out gloriously.
Yep I’d like that as well.Mini into a 250 yard 7w![]()
Current plan is Driver, Mini, 3HF, 7, 9 wood, 6 hy, 7-PW, 48, 54, 60 putterHonestly, I'd consider trying Driver, Mini, 5W if you were going to five this one a go, as the 5W can give a little more versatility for you potentially? It’s alright. Kinda useful.Yep I’d like that as well.![]()
For what its worth, I have played only two specialty wedges for a while now without issue. While I play 56/58, 54/58 would probably be the better option for most people.I've thought about swapping the 50, and 54 for a 52, but having to cover 20ish+ yards with 1 club doesn't appeal to me in a scoring club. I already ordered it, so its going to be given a go. I think its going to replace the 3W or 5W and I will need to do a bit of gapping at the top of the bag, perhaps adjusting the loft on the 5W to be a bit longer.Honestly, I'd consider trying Driver, Mini, 5W if you were going to five this one a go, as the 5W can give a little more versatility for you potentially? I love the 3HF option here. I think you are on it.Current plan is Driver, Mini, 3HF, 7, 9 wood, 6 hy, 7-PW, 48, 54, 60 putter
That will mimic my bag, just a shift from 54-60 to 52-58 for me. Just comes down to what irons and what MiniCurrent plan is Driver, Mini, 3HF, 7, 9 wood, 6 hy, 7-PW, 48, 54, 60 putter
Elite bag my man.Current plan is Driver, Mini, 3HF, 7, 9 wood, 6 hy, 7-PW, 48, 54, 60 putter
Well this is with the DS Adapt Max. May need to adjust with the 6-GW 3DP X when they get here. That will mimic my bag, just a shift from 54-60 to 52-58 for me. Just comes down to what irons and what Mini
What are you thinking?Elite bag my man.
I've already got some good ideas on how my bag will end up...but need to hit the new fairways / hybrids first before nailing down that part of the bag.
I still think this part gets overlooked to much with the FF33. Because of it you have all kinds of avenues to make the gapping work.I am really relieved that the FF33 system allows me all this flexibility. I am not sure I could accomplish what I am looking to do absent that technology.
I feel like it makes buying clubs less stressful too, since you know you can pretty much adjust them any which way to make them perform best for youI still think this part gets overlooked to much with the FF33. Because of it you have all kinds of avenues to make the gapping work.

You could also eliminate your 3H, I presume.
Actually you are right, I do carry a 52 now that you mention it. In retrospect I would have gone 54/58. I don’t use the 52 much. Sorry for the confusion. You go PW than 56?
If anything I would have to eliminate the 5H. I need that 3H to get through the wind. I do have a minty Baffler 16.5 that I've contemplated adding to the bag.
Right now:What are you thinking?
That is some pretty high praise. Anything else besides the straight speed, they caught your attention when hitting it?
Lots of excitement on this one - have a feeling tomorrow's announcement could get some good traction as well!Pretty darn good traction for this one today, really glad people enjoyed the article, and that others are as excited about this release as I am!
