Cobra KING TEC MD Mini Driver

This is the one that has held me off replacing my copper mini with the r7 and it definitely doesn't disappoint! Can't wait to test it out, hopefully will see a few on the rack or at least in the fitting cart here. Great article @Jman, have you been able to spend any time with one?

Got to hit it a few times at the MC, totally different setup than I’d normally use since it was Jose’s he built for him, but still a ton of fun.

Enough so that I’m going to add one to the mini arsenal here one way or another, hahaha

This one is solid yet dense. No resonance. No echo. Just there. Sounds, and thus feels, as hot as it actually is off the face.

Really adds another layer of enjoyment to it.

That sounds dreamy.

Must be something with mini having less room for echo and bouncing that they can make them have that sound.

Gt280 sounds great so will be excited to see and hear this one in action.

Have this coming with the UST LINQ M40X Red 5F3. Really like the 13.5 degrees of loft with the 3 wood length shaft. Think this will slot in really well for me as a Driver alternative when things are not going well. Of course I'll have to give it a shot off the deck for science. The images in the article and the one from @Lord Tox look great. Can't wait to get to try this out.

Just saw this on PGA Pappas IG. It looked so good I ran here to find this thread. Diving into the article now.

I am still on the fence on these mini-drivers. Guess I will have to try one out even though I redid the entire tough part of the bag last season.

There are other vendors who aren't as good, and i do think it's fair to give the bag/ball business to the ones who generally support the LH market. I think that is fair.

I don’t think you need to delete the post. I think it was a good point that I didn‘t necessarily think about before. Lime you said, Cobra takes care of lefties to a very reasonable extent. It’s more about others that may not.

Definitely not for everyone, but always a fun time to try just to see!
 
Great write up, I have been wanting to add a Mini driver so this announcement makes me very happy.
 
Love the looks and sound of this one. Only question is blind order or go test at least a couple shaft options for it.
 
I guess having 5 mini drivers won't be an issue will it? I already have the BRNR, R7, GT280, and the AI 340, what's wrong with one more @Coulter? I wrote a short review of this one below some time ago on another site.....

That is one of my many active ponders. I've been playing the current mini with a TPT Nitro 16 lo, but i want to try out something red in the neighborhood of a 7 X.

I have an irrational attraction to red profile shafts. Not sure why, just always have. I'll try a bunch of reds, just to wind up in blue. Every. Damn. Time. 😂
 
Happy to see this finally released! i was beyond exited to find out about it, and am going to add one to my bag immediately. Right now I am leaning towards going with the UST Mamiya LINQ Blue 7F4. I wish I had this in time for my member/member this weekend, but I'll be patient.

This is going to be a monster of a release.

They’re so freaking good! All it took was a range session to make me a believer.
 
Absolutely hyped about getting this in the bag! I should have mine by the end of the month. 😎
