Glad you enjoyed it!Great article @Jman!! I’m really looking forward to trying this one out. I can think of a handful of holes locally that a mini is perfect for and being able to dial it in with FF33 is awesome.
This is why I’m looking as well the 2 main course I’m a frequent flyer at the mini would be solid to have back in the bag.Glad you enjoyed it!
Yeah, that’s where I am with mini’s, on my course there are a handful of holes where it’s a really smart, and fun, play for me.
Yeah, definitely not surprised though. They even resisted making it for righties for a few years because it wasn’t clear if it would sell enough haha. Now we’ll see how well it does with rightiesWon't lie, a little sad to see RH only, but stoked to see this being a reality for you righties. Great looking club and love the ability to plug in a 3w shaft like that. Having the ff33 on this is awesome to see. Should make for a really versatile club for those that like these. Cool to see!
There’s typically some variance with other mini drivers in terms of adapter, adapter install depth within the heads, and the height of the mini.Nice article @Jman ... I am curious about the tidbit you added at the end about compatibility of 3W & Mini shafts. Do you know if this is something exclusive to Cobra or if it's pretty standard w/ others as well?
Also.. if this has already been asked I did indeed skim as I am swamped at the office having been away last week. Apologies if needed.
That is a pretty cool move by Cobra. There’s typically some variance with other mini drivers in terms of adapter, adapter install depth within the heads, and the height of the mini.
Cobra set out with intent to make sure it was something that would be a 1:1 swap in theirs.
That I’ve resisted ordering so far is a minor miracle.
Have you had a chance to demo them yet?Absolutely hyped about getting this in the bag! I should have mine by the end of the month.![]()
Fortunately, thanks to FF33 you could take it to 12.5 or 11.5 without altering the face or lie angle. So so so cool.I've been actively playing a MD for a year now and I have a good feel for the Elyte I've been playing. I am, however, looking forward to at least bay hitting this Cobra. I like the thought of dialing the loft up or down with the FF33. Mine is the 11.5 and I'm not so sure I'd like a 13.5 loft but I'd definitely entertain 12.5.
Thats the beauty of FF33. I for one like the 13.5 slot, it gives you options to fit the gapping and shot shape you requireI've been actively playing a MD for a year now and I have a good feel for the Elyte I've been playing. The 13.5 degrees of loft works perfect for me in theory. It's a nice slot for a Driver alternative vs driver replacement. At 13.5 my driver should be longer than the mini still, but the Mini should give me enough distance to work with when the Driver isn't playing nice or there is trouble in the Driver landing zone. And the added size of the clubhead should give me more forgiveness than going 3W.Thats the beauty of FF33. This is why I'm interested in this offering ^^^^^Fortunately, thanks to FF33 you could take it to 12.5 or 11.5 without altering the face or lie angle. So so so cool.
