Cobra OPTM Driver Lineup: Redefining Inertia Beyond MOI

I’m going tomorrow with this and a few others and beating the **** out of golf balls and will get some data
curious to see if you get the launch into a better window

Me too. I hit it pretty well during my round

are you chasing a certain number for peace of mind, or do you want to see it hit a window out on the course? I know you mentioned it launched lower for you, but curious if it's minor tweaks or something bigger for you

Genuinely no.
Speed is coming back from injury and despite the rest of my game being average, I hit it decently predictable off the tee.

I’m hoping to see some speed and consistency on my typical misses and that would be a big win for me.

Based off my experience with the 3dp x today I’m leaning towards just grabbing one of these. Cobra is really elevating themselves this year

Always wild to see how much the settings can change things. Seeing low spin but forgiving is getting my attention.
Speaks volumes to how important a good fitter can be.

Nicely done on the writeup!

These look really good and the tech story is intriguing. It’s fun when a company shows us why we should care about something that no one else has brought up before or when they bring it up in a new way. The change in approach to the movable weights makes a ton of sense. I’m looking forward to seeing the shapes of the heads in person.

Think we saw these in Rickie and Max’s bags this evening- both looked to of been hitting them pretty well.

Saw a Cobra driver fitting at their HQ is only $100 and it’s waived with purchase. Might have to convince wifey for a trip out there

I am REALLY thinking that during my time hitting these I am going to be leaning X with the LS having to convince me that it's the right club for the bag.

Just seems like the X has WAY too many good things going for it.

I am also EXTREMELY eager to get some extended time in with FF33. I've experienced it briefly in 2025 and even fit some friends into the head which was a lot of fun and incredibly easy once we sorted out their stock shape.

What I am most curious about, is how much I'll benefit from a non-stock profile. I've been told at fittings in the past to "set it to neutral and never ever touch it again" lmao - so it'll be fun to see if the subtle face changes made by FF33 have a real impact on how I approach my swing (because I am total forehead).

STILL hung on this one tonight.

I mean, I can’t kick that out of bed, right?

So I have this right? POI is the twisting in 3 dimensions while MOI is the representation of the force resisting twist and MOI and POI aren’t necessarily tied together but more correlated to head design in achieving the resisting force? I’m trying to wrap my head around this but I’m kind of a smooth brain at this stuff.

POI is the toe or heel drooping on contact, so basically the 3rd plane the driver can move in.

I need to give Cobra another try. There was a Cobra demo day scheduled for my home course in March 2020...literally right after the pandemic started. I took a flier on the Cobra Speedzone sight unseen and sold a driver I loved. (admittedly silly mistake)

I didn't get along with that driver at all and it left a bad taste in my mouth about Cobra. The Adapt got raving reviews but I never even tried it. I need to get over my 2020 hurt lol...

Join the party. They are great drivers.
