Cobra OPTM Fairway Woods and Hybrids

I'd feel strange about having a bag without a hybrid.
I feel strange having one again, but I’m embracing my 40’s 🤣😜

don't tell @JDax but I'm toying with the idea of finding a 5H. Esp if I do end up throwing a 7W in the bag.
I see you, after the 5 iron shame you gave me.

Twice yesterday I told myself, this is a shot for the new 7 wood…. When it gets here.
You’re gonna love having a 7 wood in the bag

I have a fitting tomorrow morning. I still have a strong urge to just order a refurb demo X 7 wood head I found 😂

Well, I did the fitting, and the only fitting heads available were the X 5 wood or Max 7 wood (they had 3s but I don't care about those). I hit the 5w with my Diamana RB plugged in and turned up slightly to add some loft. Not quite exact, but close enough. Not a huge change in feel or distance vs my Adapt X, but I did go ahead and order that demo 7 wood and will plug my shaft into that.

I also liked the Qi4D 7 wood head quite a bit. That shaft was 1/2" shorter than what I play (I have a 5 wood length in my 7w head) so it wasn't quite apples to apples. I'd be happy either way. Decided to go ahead with the OPTM X for now and give the POI a chance, and the toe weight. Should be here in a few days.

Local golf shop had its annual 50% extra trade in this weekend. I picked up an OPTM Max 5 Wood at a good price after trading in a several clubs.

The 9w has arrived!!!

Can't wait to start putting some feedback in here. 5W with the weights and FF3 gives me SO many options.

My Adapt X 7 knew I had an OPTM X 7 on the way yesterday. 0.08 SG per shot. Hit some beauties. Got comments about it from other guys in the group. 🤣

I wasn’t going to go hybrid this year but damn it if the 4H isn’t perfect for my needs. I had my heart set on a 7w but it was too fast and went too far for my bag makeup and the gapping just wasn’t right.

The OPTM X 5w is just pure fun. So easy to hit off the tee or the deck.

The OPTM X 9w is a blast to swing. Had the wrong shaft come in so dispersion was lacking with the range session but when I squared it all up I was very pleased with the ease on launch and distance.

I think this photo really highlights the FF33. Strike was very consistent for me.

Yes!!! What drew you to it?

Hard to move on from the 2023 King Tec, but with the 3dp irons i ended up overlapping the 5i with my 5h. Even with the KT -1.5° wasn’t getting quite enough to fill that gap up.
And that Earl Grey!!!!

As an owner of the OPTM X 7W and Qi4D 7W, you’ll be happy.

I really love the RB in my current Adapt X and didn’t want to mess with that. Plug in play adapter really won the day as much as anything. Should be here Tuesday, just in time for me to go out of town for five days. 🫠

I’ve been reading this thread tonight and catching up. As someone who’s not planning on being in the FW market this year, I’ve been shocked by how much I like the OPTM X driver so now I’m thinking it may be worth an exploration in the FW as well.
