Do you have a favorite comprehensive method book or two? Or three? These are books that cover the entire game: full swing, short shots, putting, playing the game, etc.

I like John Jacobs's Practical Golf, Nick Faldo's A Swing for Life, and Toski and Flick's How To Become a Complete Golfer.

This thread is not about specialty books, please, like short game only, putting only, etc.

My first thought is any book by Earnest Jones.

I also think that for most golfers, Total Golf by Mike Adams, TJ Tomasi (& others) is a good read. It's an old book, but I still refer to it every so often.

Not sure I would call it a comprehensive golf swing book, but it does have quite a bit of useful info in it. It's also spelled out in an easy to understand, basic read.

I've had quite a few books on the golf swing. Very few were what I would call were worth the price. Most were just a rehash of other's swing info. Even some of newer, updated swing books by younger authors.. However, I could usually find something good to use in each one.

Advanced Golf by Vivien Saunders. Published in 1995.
It could be out of print.
