Describe the sound you're looking for in a golf club

With irons and putters I prefer the sound of density quietly crushing the ball.
With Woods/drivers I prefer a crisp so7nd that isn’t too carbon-y

I rarely notice sound unless it is just incredibly good or bad. I think Taylormade drivers have a muted thwack that I like on well struck shots and the old Pings are way too loud, but anything is fine with me if it works.

This would describe me as well. I really don’t notice the sound nor do I focus on sound when hitting any club.

I started out playing persimmon drivers. That is the sound I like best.

There's nothing better than hitting the ball and the super loud sound is heard from the next fairway. Everyone looks over to see who the guy hitting it is. It's awesome. I hope they make clubs even louder.
