Probably my favorite local muni. Super fun track that emphasizes shot making over distance. And what a bargain for seniors - $21 if you walk! I last played it in May. Can’t get my group to make the 45 minute drive. :cautious: Probably too hot to walk right now. Please update us with the conditions.

What a great picture! Will update on the conditions!

Greens are no good! Sand traps are no good!
Bummer. Looks like they just punched the greens. Hopefully they’ll be in good shape within a couple of weeks. What was the deal with the traps?

Anyone ever play Webb Hill in Wolfe City?

Fairways and everything else is perfect.

Did you get discounted green fees due to condition of the greens?

FYI, Bridlewood is doing aerification 8/11-12...

Buffalo Creek is what I consider my home course, it has been in fantastic shape since about a year out of Covid when they changed ownership. They are still making improvements to it. It is a bargain compared to some courses in Frisco at the same or less price point.

I would head out there and play anytime....55 minutes from my home in Prosper and I did not mind the drive at all

Good to know. We’re playing Friday, so we’ll get in just under the wire.

Played Bear Creek East this morning. It’s in pretty good shape and the greens are mostly true. There are some bare spots on a few greens, though. For $40 senior rate, it’s a good deal.

Even though the rough has been cut since I last played it, it’s still punishing. There’s a short par 4 with a dogleg left and pond fronting the green - #5, I think. I hit a 3w draw just through the end of the fairway at the dogleg. Ball couldn’t have run more than 10-15’ through the fairway and was right in the middle. Still couldn’t find it. Brutal. We tee’d off at 7:15, so while it was hot by the end of the round, it wasn’t horrible.

Bridlewood on Friday.

I've hit that same shot and it ended up in the water. I don't like that hole

Last Friday at Bridlewood was spectacular. We had a rare August day where temps didn’t climb out of the 80s. And due to storms all around us, we had a nice breeze all day, but not strong enough to affect play. The greens were as true as any round I’ve played this year. I guess our more moderate summer has helped. Shot an 86 with 2 doubles and 1 birdie.

The drama with the green fees remains, though. Played the week prior and checked in with no problem. I paid the Senior Loyalty Club rate of $49-10% for playing with a member. I didn’t ask for it, that’s what I was asked to pay when checking in. Checked in this past Friday and was told the rate was $60+tax. I informed the guy that he charged me $45 the week prior and he said it must not have been a Friday. I only play BW on Fridays with the group I’m in and told him he could look it up. And I again informed him that the website still showed the $49 rate, and that we’ve been going through this routine every week or so all summer long. He charged me the $45 but I’m sure that this coming Friday will be more of the same.

I just shot a note to the pro, and head of golf about this, and showed them the website etc. Hopefully it can get resolved...silly dumb drama is never needed...

I’m just here dreaming of playing golf on a Friday morning 😂🤣

Looks like I will be down in that area mid November and I'm guessing clubs will make it with me like usual. Hoping for descent weather then.

This is a direct quote form the Head Pro....

"If you do not play with a member and you are a senior in our Loyalty club program, you should pay $49+tax on a Friday per the website. At one time the rate was $59+tax but the website never got updated to show the difference in Friday pricing so it is $49+tax currently but I am looking to have that changed to stop the confusion."

if you do play with a full member, and this is part of the confusion...

"The Member-Guest rate for guys playing with Annual Pass holders is $45+tax on Monday through Thursday and $55+tax on Friday. The Seniors that play with members on Monday through Thursday should pay $45+tax and on Friday's $49+tax with the difference being that their senior loyalty rate is cheaper than the Annual Pass Member-Guest Rate."

He has shared with the staff, and with the front people, but like a lot of cases, people can be ignorant, not remember etc.

Also amending, they did NOT punch greens Sunday, so greens are in phenomenal condition for B-Wood
