I have gun shoots for the Navy and training over the 13-16th and fly back on the 17th, but there is that range facility too not far from base that stays open late.

We will figure something out as it gets closer to November and I get my plane tickets booked. Waiting for the new FY to hit so my orders can be routed and I can pick all that.

Playing Grand Oaks GC in Grand Prairie today @ 4:30pm
 
Finally after not playing since March, I played in a tournament at the Tribute yesterday. It was in good shape and it was nice to swing a club again. No injuries, just work family and the heat of the summer is why I was off for so long. Playing Split Rail Saturday if I do not have to be in Florida for the hurricane damage.

I was hoping to play this Tribute this Friday as I have some friends coming in for the OU-Texas weekend. The public times got wiped out in a heartbeat. Ended up having to get a time at Texas Star instead.

We need to play a round again
 
Finally got out to Lake Arlington. Great value at $15.50 senior walking rate! Course is in great shape and we had a fun round. Par 3s are long! That elevated one is 235 from the whites, but plays around 200. Not often I hit a 3W on a par 3, but I made the green!

Anyone play Winstar Scissortail recently? It’s wide open this week and I’m trying to figure out what type of shape it’s in. Reviews from earlier this year weren’t very good.

That's a tough green to hold.
 
Finally made the trek to Tierra Verde. It was worth the hour drive. What a great muni! Greens are tricky, with some seriously steep tiers. Good luck if you’re on the wrong level.

Yes, it was in outstanding shape, as are most courses around here this year. Finally got some sweater weather, although we shed them on the back 9.
