Taking from @cagolfer 's thread last week on grip choices...

I have an entire new set of swing grips that was delivered today - Golf Pride MCC Align Plus 4 midsize.

It was mostly for my irons over anything else but at the time, I realized I've never had grip uniformity throughout the bag and thought it would be cool.

Now as I sit here ripping grips off my clubs, I'm pondering...I put a Super Stroke (Lamkin) Crossline 2.0 on my 7 wood when I reshafted it last year, and I really liked it.

I'm wondering if I would like those grips on my long game clubs (driver, mini, 2 iron, 7 wood) better than the MCCs.

Does that make sense...or should I stay the course with having matching grips through the bag?

I play the same grips with same wraps for all my clubs, outside of the putter.

Keep the feel familiar through out the whole set of clubs, no surprises.

Jumbo on my woods
Midsize on wedges
Still deciding on irons

Totally a "you do you" thing, I don't think there's any wrong answer. I prefer same grips throughout the bag, though.

Play what makes you happy, I’m a same grip on all swing clubs.

Right now have all the same grips on my clubs except putter and hybrid, the color schemes are different in the woods than the irons. 3 hybrid is different as I just need to get rid of it.

I'm one that likes to try new stuff, and that includes grips. I`ve usually got a bit of a mixed bag, want to try a new grip on my driver and end up liking it, it stays on, and will be an oddball until it's time to regrip the rest. Try some new grips on my wedges, same thing. Right now I've got one kind of grips on my irons, another kind on my wedges, and a mix of those two on my long clubs. They might all end up the same at some point, unless something else comes up I want to try.

I MUST have the same grips on all my clubs but putter. When I get a different feel in my hands I start thinking about that instead of focusing on the shot at hand. Makes me nuts.

I prefer the same grips on all swing clubs. It just removes a variable. And I need less variables.

I used to have different grips on my woods and wedges vs irons..so definitely makes sense to me..probably when I played my best tbh

I like different grips on my longer clubs.
Not sure why.

I can play any grip. The Align rib bothers me at first

It is really personal i think as to how people are on grips. I can play a mix without any issues. I do like having them all match, but that rarely happens for me.

Jeeno Thitikul on LPGA has a different coloured grip on every club lol

I have two tone grips , gives me some reference point , when holding .

Typically they are from the same family , like yours .

Whatever works for you, play it.

I play the same brand, same size grips on all my clubs but the woods, irons and wedges are all a different colour.

I constantly have a variety of grips in the bag. Really a non-issue imo.

That’s pretty much how I’ve always felt. The only thing that bothered me a little was different sizes…like I had midsize through the bag last year, except for wedges.

When I got new irons, I forgot to change the grip size on the order and they came with standard size grips…that threw me off, especially with the mid irons. I also had 3 new wedges, and driver and 2 iron grips were worn…so if 11 needed to be changed, why not all 13? 🤣

I ended up doing the whole bag with the same grips last night, and I’m pretty happy with the result as far as looks/feel.

All things considered, I'd probably lean towards preferring a single grip just to maintain order lol. However, it just never works out and I'm not so invested in the grip thing that I'm going to spend money to change if there's nothing overtly wrong with one.

I have also used different sizes at the same time. What can I say 😂

That’s the down side. I’m going to have this OCD paradise going on in my bag for…maybe a month or two before something new and shiny catches my eye? 🤣

Do what makes you happy.

I’ve usually got 3-4 different types through the bag

I have a standard TM grip on my Qi4D, don't want to mess with it since it is working and I tend to not rotate the face enough with driver at times, so keeping it smaller helps with that.

Thriver to AW are all the same WMX midsize grips.

My 3 RTZ wedges are currently Lamkin Sonar+ Midsize but I may be changing those to WMX Mid+ soon.

I usually have the same grip, but if I am testing or demoing clubs, then stock grip is usually the choice. Having the different grips is all good.

I had WMX grips in my Vokeys last fall - I really liked them.

Agree no wrong answer here, do what feels and works for you.
