Do you do Parent/Child yearly adventures/trips?

Welp, tradition continues. We are headed to Chicago end of November! Road trip from Mn and stay just down the road from Soldier Field!

Love this. Going to start doing these. Taking my daughter to Seattle in January to go see a sharks game. Wanted to do Edmonton but dates just don’t work. Plus one of my buddies has season tickets at Seattle and those were free.

Yea it’s definitely been fun. Would’ve rather done Jacksonville (opening hunting) to get some warmth but sometimes nice to be able to drive as well

Son and I head to Chicago this weekend for the game! Going to be a nice little road trip and fun to see Chicago again! Skol Vikings!

Anyone else have any fun trips this winter with their kid/s

I started the baseball stadium tour trips w my son, but we only made 3 before Covid derailed that. Lately we take at least one out of state fishing trip a year. My daughter and I do an out of state concert once a year.

All year long and as long as they want us around. Ranges from camping, road trips, overseas travel and more. It's what I live for.

Not so much as an adventure trip unless you count the city we're in but I'm trying to take my son to the Ravens home game every year as a boys trip/treat. Couldn't do it this year because the tickets were outrageous but I hope to be able to go next year and the continue yearly.

Planning for 2025 game is in full force. Stinks Vikes have two overseas games. Debating on LA, Seattle or more than likely Detroit based on costs.

We are hoping to start this in September with our two boys (8 & 5). They both LOVE baseball and the Brewers, so we are going to try to get to St. Louis for a game. We have family down there and it is right around our wedding anniversary. Would be a great way to kick off our *hopeful* ballpark tour.

We went to Disney this winter as our first big family travel trip, and are currently working on details for a Spring Training trip to AZ to catch the Crew in 2026!

No kids (and no wife :ROFLMAO: ) for me. Whenever I do have a family, would definitely want to do something like that. I did some trip just with my dad to go skiing. (My mom can't ski, she had a big ski accident when i was little. And for some reason, we didn't take my sister haha)

My daughter and I are trying to decide which Sharks game to attend this year. We have potential options of Utah Mammoth in October, a couple of time,s but tickets are pricey, LA Kings January 7th, and one of the Florida games in January, but that is a lot of travel with school.

Nov 2 @ Detroit! Skol

HalfAuzzie and I are off to Baltimore again next month for the Ravens home opener against the Browns. He's a Ravens fan and I'm going to drink beer.

Tickets purchased for Ford Field! Excited to check another stadium off with my boy

11 days until Detroit bound with the kiddo. Excited to check out some awesome suggestions and see a great game (hopefully 😂) we are currently 3-0 on our away games but this might be the first loss but ANYTHINGS POSSIBLE!

We came, we saw another W. Currently 4-0 on our away games!

Nothing other than family vacations. But my Mom was the driving force behind those. Some people like to go lay on beach for a week, but not her. She was definitely a "go, see, do" kind of person. I remember being invited out to Colorado after the holidays by a buddy who had moved out there. He had come home for the holidays and was driving a car, loaded with more of his stuff, out there and didn't want to drive alone.

I was working in our alcohol beverage wholesaler, and after the holidays is very slow time for us. My Mom told me that when I ever had the opportunity to go to new places, and have new experiences, that's what I should do! So I got to go out there. I went ice fishing on a frozen lake at 12,000 feet altitude and sat on that frozen ice in a lawn chair, in my underwear and got a suntan! I also got my brains cooked. The UV is something else up there!

Then we put our clothes back on and drove to a bar in "Sphinx Park" Colorado. It was way out in the boonies and had no heat! And if it did you couldn't notice it! We had a couple of beers there and headed to clean our rainbow trout and have a fish fry.

All depends how schedule falls but looks like New Orleans, Tampa, New York, New England or San Francisco will be the options for next football season for G and I!

Tampa would be fun! You could even try to sneak some golf in, or make a drive over to Orlando for a day or two and fly out from there.

Since our pupper passed away, it's opened up a lot more travel for us the past few years. We've kind of fallen into a routine of doing a big road trip each year to hit up some national parks. 2 years ago was seeing Mt. Rushmore and Badlands NP. Last year was a big trip to Niagra Falls with couple of smaller national parks along the way. A month ago we did our first family flight and took the kids to the Grand Canyon and Saguaro NP. Right when the kids get out this summer (which means I can't throw my hat in for the Cobra Classic) we will be taking a long road trip to Colorado and Rocky Mountain NP.

I have to say, having science museum and art museum memberships (NARM) has been such a game changer with kids. We can plan road trips around stopping at those places and get in for free. Over the past few years it's literally saved us over 1K. We were able to get into the Rock & Roll HOF for free! Thsoe tickets are crazy expensive.

Two trips with HalfAuzzie to Baltimore this year. End of May to see an Orioles game and September for the Ravens home opener.

i love this tradition.
now that you've hit all 3 of the NFC North stadiums, it's time for some real travel.

how much will the city/stadium/team influence your decision vs timing/date of the game?

I think overall cost for flight and timing will be the biggest influence as we will be in the midst of football and then travel basketball. I’d be more ok missing a football game vs a basketball tournament. We can always go cheaper on a hotel and then get better tickets but flight will always be a for sure watch

Tampa in December would be fun to escape cold.

New England and San Francisco based on teams would be best, Jets and Saints not ideal to watch but New Orleans would be fun to visit. Tampa usually has a large contingent of Vikings fans since many winter down there.

I love that - HalfAuzzie 👍🏻😁

We occasionally go to footy together , but when you have 3 grown kids ( all early 30s ) and they all have or are about to have 2 kids each . Co ordinating any function is complex lol

We did my two boys and I and couple of his relatives in law , get to Boxing Day Test Match .

In the next half dozen years when the boys grow a little it be fun .. 3 generations watching cricket together.
