Do you own a golf cart?

On the real, I've been to three electric golf cart charger fires in the past 6 months.

Pro tip: follow the manufacturer's recommendations for installing a charger if its electric.

In my old neighborhood an electric Club Car started an Escalade on fire(totaled) parked next to it at the club and another started a fire in a neighbors garage that caused $180k in damage. I’m glad my Yamaha is gas as I don’t have any fire worries.

One of the many reasons I chose a Drive2 EFI. Worried about the batteries in my old cart and hated recharging after every round.

Was planning on buying one next year. Now, won’t need to as we aren’t building there anymore.

Noooo no. We were going to be building in Fox Meadows last year. Fell through. This year still on. Still Medina. Just not in the club. No biggie. Better and bigger lot for less money and actual woods lol

Thanks man...they are more of a pain in the butt, but it’s nice to be able to drive to the grocery store and such. At least I know I’ll always have a front spot to park in.
If you want a good laugh, remind me to show you my insurance dec page next time we get together. I have to have a street legal cart per the association, and in Florida that means PIP insurance and plates.

Yes!!!! That is hilarious! So mine going 28-30 should require that right?

Yep. Florida law is that if you operate on any public road, it’s treated as a low speed vehicle and requires all the necessary safety features and a registration, plate, and minimum PIP insurance. Yay government. I wouldn’t have done any of it, but my association has been on my case despite their golf carts being noncompliant and unregistered.

that said, 30 is fast man! That’s hauling. My last one went 22. I think my current one goes 25.

I own a push cart and the engine is me :D

I live in a golf community, so, yes, I have an EZ GO golf cart that I use for going back and forth to the club.

And for riding my dog around the neighborhood.

Your dog a golfer too? ;)

2013 EZGo RXV with a controller upgrade. It was "Papa's" cart. We resurrected the cart and had it completely redone and painted. This way our son's Papa would always be with him on the course. Papa loved to play ⛳. These pictures were from the Golf Cart store after restoration.

If we are able to get this land we are looking at, I'm thinking I might become a golf cart person.

I bought an old cart from a golfing buddy at the club. It's a 1998 Club Car and I got it for $300. I had to work on the wiring to the battery terminals and got it running. Haven't used it in about a month though and went to try it out on Sunday and it just shuttered and wouldn't move. Pretty sure it's because of the batteries though it did get me and a buddy through 18 holes and then some last time I used it. Trying to decided if I should just sell and take a little profit from it or take the time and money to fix it up. I would need to replace the batteries, shocks/leaf springs, and the wheels and tires.

Got the batteries replaced in my old club car. I paid my parent for theirs which are two years old and they got new ones in theirs. I've listed it for sale but haven't had any takers yet. I'm thinking about going ahead and replacing the exterior with a body kit to make it look like a new cart and keeping it. I've been trying to get pricing on a full body kit, roof, seats, dash, wheels/tires, etc but apparently there are not many around right now.

Two of them.
