Do you purge or hang on?

Some of both. Some stuff I will never get rid of like my Morgan Cup bag and set of clubs.

But, at the moment I probably have too much stuff and this thread is a good reminder that I need to clean out my stash.

So now that I’ve settled into my current golf set up. I find myself with some extra clubs, extra putters a couple of extra bags, a wedge or two…etc.

One of my buddies has a basement full of various clubs, bags and so forth. He just can’t seem to part with it. Thinks…I might try that driver again someday or I might use that putter sometime, but he never does.

How about you? I just put my two extra bags on Facebook marketplace I think I want to just streamline everything.

Hey man, what is that bag / shoe / accessory stand called - or did you make it yourself? Either way - that is SAH-WEET! ; )

I don't have a real emotional investment in my clubs, but I also don't really enjoy selling them.

Usually they hang out until someone I know needs something or wants to try something. It's one of my favorite things to do, getting a product in someone's hand who is excited about it, and it makes them better.

It would be interesting to see the differences here in left handed versus right handed players.

I suspect left handed players might be more inclined to hang onto their clubs. After all, they have a much harder time finding equipment to try. They might even be more inclined to become club builders.

But these are just my hunches.

I got it on Amazon last January. I love it. I’ll see if I can find the exact one and message it to you.

I have a few extra things sitting around but certainly don't hoard. I'm due to get rid of some stuff here shortly that I'm not using. I wait to make sure replacement clubs are working out before I get rid of the old stuff.

I will usually hang on to stuff for a bit and then sell/pass it on to friends.

I keep 2-3 of everything and anything beyond that I give to local juniors.

My clubs get modified to -2 inches ladies shafts so there isn't much of a market for them.
I'm still in the learning phase so it makes sense to keep them as my game is evolving.
I'm doing a lot of shaft lean with wedges that I didn't do last year.

If I knew someone who wanted to learn I could make a "close enough" custom club for them to learn how to swing a golf club.
I keep the old shafts and useable grips.

I can't get rid of stuff fast enough.

The local first tee has a store, I donate lots of retired stuff there, kinda like a Goodwill for golf stuff and the proceeds benefit youth golf programming.
