By that I mean do you ever make your own. We have one of the kids that likes it so much I call her sushi. We bought a sushi bazooka and now enjoy making it at home. Reminds me of when I was a kid and friends with a Japanese family. The mom would often make us a snack of them. Yum. Anyhoo, wondering if you do that.

Looks good. I don’t make sushi too often. I prefer poke since it eliminates the rolling step. The bamboo sushi roller makes it easier but I don’t like messing with getting just enough water on the nori to make it stick without getting mushy.

I did it once. It’s so much work.

I need to. My boss goes tuna fishing every now and then. And we got a roller from a white elephant that we've never tried. So I should try it next time if he gives me any.

I’ve heard those Sushi bazookas make it easy. We like sushi here, I should really try one out.

Yep. I get salmon and tuna from my local market. Usually will just slice it up and eat it as nigiri. Rolls are too much work and too much rice. Just give me all the fish.

We use cucumber, radish, avocado, and cooked shrimp. Then wasabi and a touch of low sodium soy. I leave the fish type to the professionals.

Both my wife and I are major sushi lovers, we have a bamboo sushi mat and make rolls at home occasionally. We also just do nigiri sushi and/or "deconstructed" sushi bowls. We haven't tried one of the "bazookas" yet, maybe we'll get one of them and give it a shot.

We do home made sushi using a mat. Avacado, shaved veggies, fake crab, cooked shrimp, sticky rice, wasabi. I dont do soya, but my bride does.

I just let someone else make it for me.

I love sushi but I'd prefer just to buy it.

We vodka’d yesterday but talked about Saki next time. Suggestions?

You drink this one cold, it's excellent.

If you aren't into raw fish or veggies you may be interested in Hawaiian Musubi, which is SPAM fried in an oyster sauce glaze, placed over a bed of steamed rice, and wrapped with Nori.

I used to , but i rolled mine with a Bamboo roller screen. I learned when i lived in Okinawa years ago, used to make it about once a week for years, but kinda got away from it. Now i wanna roll some more. Making the sticky rice is key to rolling good sushi in my eyes.....

Hahaha Heck no, I leave that to the professionals.

The rice is why I stick to bowls. Been disappointed more than once after using my bamboo mat.
