Fairway Wood Loyalty: Do You Stick with Your Iron Brand? Your Driver Brand? Or different?

My bag is all Callaway.

My last 3 fairways have matched my driver. There are also the only 3 3w I've been able to hit with any amount of success. I'm not saying those are correlated, but I don't want to mess with it.

All my clubs come from the same company.

As my signature line confirms, I am not tied to a brand. To expound, for me, it's all about how the club performs. I am brand-agnostically fitted for every club in my bag. My driver is a Ping, my last driver was a TaylorMade, the one before that was a Callaway. That story on the driver plays out all across the bag.

It's all about performance.

Having said that, my clubs tend to stay in my bag for many years. The reason is that I got the optimum club. It usually takes quite a few years before a replacement club emerges that beats my gamer. When I do find such a club, I have no problem pulling the trigger.

I have gone down both routes in the past but my current driver and 5 wood are both Titleist although I also have a TaylorMade 5 wood.

I have two fairway woods, they aren't the same brand as each other, and neither is the same brand as my driver or my irons.

Same brand. Four releases back but still fit the bill and my gaps. Have always wanted a TM fairway and have tried many but just don’t get along with them.

Whatever a fitting finds. Oddly enough, I am in GT2's and the same shaft, driver thru 5 hybrid.

Driver and three wood both Titleist for the past four years. Probably the only time I can remember having the same brand since the early 90s when I was hitting a Cobra driver and baffler.

It's interesting to see how my tour players have TM fairways in in a bag full of other manufacturers.

Each club serves a purpose and one brand might do it better than another in any given spot.

All 14 are the same company

Have used the same Callaway FT-iz driver and Ping G15 3 wood for fifteen years. Before that my driver was a Taylormade R9 and my 3 wood was a Callaway Big Bertha. They have never matched that I can remember.

My bag is a huge mutt.
Titleist, cobra, callaway, Mizuno

I try to play what works best. With that being said, I have not actually purchase a fairway wood since the Cobra Amp Cell. I have always avoided them.

I stick with what works for me regardless of brand.

I know this isn’t the best way to do it but when it comes to the middle of the bag I play whatever I get a good deal on that I’d like to try. I’ve never been fitted for woods/hybrids, I just buy what I think I’ll like and fit my numbers.

So I end up playing a lot of Callaway in the middle of the bag because Callaway Preowned is the greatest website on the face of the planet. 😂.

But I’m not opposed to a good FB marketplace deal either. If it’s a good deal I’ll buy it just to try it.

My OCD kicks in and I have the have the 3-wood match the driver.

I play all Cobra except for wedges currently.

Different, I was fit back in 2018 for a Callaway Driver, TM Fairways, TM Irons, and Cleveland wedges. I stick with the TM fairways as I am very confident in hitting them. I have since switched to Takomo and now Sub70 Irons. But will always stay with the TM fairways.

Historically I have played the same brand.
This year I had a real mixed bag of Srixon driver, Callaway 3 wood, Cobra 5 wood

I play whatever works best for the shots I'm trying to hit. This season that was Cobra DS Adapt X fairways and King Tec hybrid. They performed well the entire season and have my eternal admiration.

Now that we are in tinker szn, my woods are a Taylor Made mini driver, Callaway Apex UW, and a Taylor Made 7 wood. Plus there is a Cobra Utility Iron, that is getting some run as well.
