Saturday Evening Dinner: Downstairs pub at Galen Hall Golf Club

For those of you who need a hotel for Saturday night, you can choose from one this list or chose your own. You are responsible for booking your own room. (FYI, I'm staying at the Days Inn. It was a great place from a budget standpoint and good access to the highway and mall)

If you are going to attend, EVEN IF YOU'VE ALREADY SAID SO IN THE THREAD, can you please PM that you will be attending and which day(s) you will be attending so I can start getting a head count for each day. Also, if you are going to be at the Saturday evening dinner.

Thanks everyone! I'm really, REALLY looking forward to golfing with old friends and new friends.

Answer to E: I think 15-16 or 22-23 works best for me.

Hope to see some more THP'ers out in October!

I'm starting put together my Fall get togethers for THPers.

We had such a good time last weekend in Reading and it was nicely priced, lots of courses to choose from and easy to get to that the Fall Get Together will be in Reading, PA again.

Before I start planning this Reading go around, I want to know:

A. Are you interested in a 1 day meet/play or a 2 day stay and play (stay in a certain hotel or hotels close to each other and play two different courses on Saturday and Sunday) I'm open

B. How much per round are you willing to play, including cart:
- Less than $35
- Between $35 - $45
- Up to $60

C. What is most important to you
- Having fun playing golf with fellow THPers
- Playing a challenging course
- Playing golf with golfers at similar level

D. If you do "Stay and Play" how much is are you willing to pay for hotel room per night
- Less than $75
- Between $75 - $90
- Between $90 - $125

E. Which weekend would you be willing play
- October 8-9
- October 15-16
- October 22-23

There already is a thread for the NorthEast Get Together started to get a date and format figured out here: http://www.thehackersparadise.com/f...Golf-Get-Together-Late-Summer-Early-Fall-2011

So if so if none of these dates work for you and you feel like driving to western MA area you will be welcome there as always. Or heck, be like me and do both!!

Just bumping this back to early pages so we don't lose track of it. Still collecting answers so planning is easier!

im down for any of the options, just depends on how far away it is

weekend of 15th might work. Other 2 weekends are TSGL playoffs. Pricing is ok for me, depending on how far from delaware

Bump. Trying to get feel for intrest by 1st week September so can finish planning by Sept 16 & give folks plenty of notice

Either of the first two. The 22nd is the wifey's birthday so that's out for me for sure.

Communicating with the boss(ie wife) on dates and viability. Otherwise:

A. Are you interested in a 1 day meet/play or a 2 day stay and play (stay in a certain hotel or hotels close to each other and play two different courses on Saturday and Sunday)
Either.

B. How much per round are you willing to play, including cart:
Anything under $60 is fine

C. What is most important to you
Fun fun and more fun. Although I love a challenge! I'd rather play with better players as I always seem to learn something, but I like playing with anyone in general. More fun than all alone :)

D. If you do "Stay and Play" how much is are you willing to pay for hotel room per night
We have a relative who is 22 minutes away in New Holland. So hopefully that will work out. Otherwise $75-90 is fine.

E. Which weekend would you be willing play
See above.

Would love to head up and play!

So wife wants to know what the format is typically to see if she wants to come up. Is it more than one round? When are tee times scheduled? etc?

I can do any weekend, but can't play on Oct 15th as my cousin is getting married in Hatfield, PA. So I'll be "in the area" if the one day play was on Sunday that may be a possibility.

We typically do 18 hole stroke play but there is no pressure and no matter skill level we have fun. Last year Mr Golf4Life brought Mrs Golf4Life and she rarely played 18holes. She & I had a blast playing together. And we had no problem picking up or playing from best ball in our foursome.

If we play Sat only we typically will start around 10:30 so folks coming from far away don't have to get up at some ungodly hour.

If it is two days, the Sat time may be a little later to allow folks to get there, checked in to hotels, & take advantage of cheaper tee times followed by early Sunday round so folks can get on the road home at a decent time.

We'd love to have your wife come!

have you planned a general location yet?

Would be interested...

A- Either, depending on cost of lodging
B- $35-45
C- Having fun
D- $75-90
E- can do any, am pretty flexible with dates right now

Great thanks. Keep me posted as I'm sure I'll be able to make something happen. Maybe I could even con ask the wife to come along. She has only played once so we'll see :)

I believe me and thegeneral will be playing again.
