Fastest Greens You Have Putt On?

A course between Columbus and Cleveland called Deer Ridge always comes to mind. The greens there are sloped and the ball just never stops when going down a hill

I can't remember the name of the course, but it was in New Mexico and they were the fastest I have ever played; the pro shop said 12 but I am not sure they were even that fast. I cannot imagine how hard Ballyhack would be with greens rolling as fast as what they just played.

A couple years ago I was able to play at Falmouth CC the Monday after the Korn Ferry tour tournament. They had the greens like lightning, and they are very sloopy as well.

I have no idea but i will say nothing like i saw in the video that was posted. That was crazy fast.

i played a member/guest at my buddies CC and they rolling around 12

A few years back I had the chance to play Youngstown Country Club, the old money WASP course in the area. On a par 4 I hit a beautiful drive and a 5 iron to the green, ending up about 20 feet above the hole. The slope didn't seem all that severe, but it was also down grain so I knew I had to be careful. Gave the putt the merest tap that, at first, I thought wouldn't make it to the hole. Oh was I wrong! It kept rolling and rolling until it rolled off the front of the green 30 feet in front of the hole! I was lucky to chip back and make the putt to save bogey.

I'd say Memorial Park or Highland Pines near Houston. Both on newly planted/renovated greens, so they were firm, bare-ish, and fast. Not really sure how fast they were, but I would guess around a 12.
Highland Pines were ridiculous last time I played

TPC Myrtle they had cut and rolled and supposedly at a 13. But, that putt Danny blew 5 feet by the hole, wow, I don’t think I’ve been on anything near that fast.

I think Ballyhack was around 12 during the Quest Cup and I think the course I played in Augusta was about the same … I don’t recall ever playing faster greens than those.

I played a private course right after their member tournament and it was like putting on glass. The only other greens which were fast and scary like that were those at Haig Point or Morgan Cup year

I think that the greens should have been made softer and slower after the grooves rules changes about fifteen years ago.

They said average recreational players wouldn't even see the difference,
but that clearly wasn't the case with me. I was able to spin hard surlyn balls with aggressive box grooves.

My home course doesn't have ice cube greens, but some courses do
and I really can't enjoy playing them.

Spanish Bay. I could not keep the Ball on the Green.

One of the courses our golf team played in Jr. High in the late 70's was called Alhambra in Orlando, FL. Most of the courses in Florida back then had Bermuda greens and were relatively slow and more grainy compared with today. Somehow, Alhambra had lightning fast greens. During our match, I missed a 6' putt by about 4-5" on the right. After the ball stopped, a pretty good wind gust popped up and the ball slowly rolled left and into the hole; the greens were that fast.

Been playing Islands End here on Long Island for the last couple of days. It’s always had among the fastest greens around. Some pretty severe slopes as well. 1st green in particular is an upside down saucer type. Aerated a few weeks ago, we’ve had little to no rain for about as long, and I think they’re just rolling this time of year more than cutting. This vid is from the 15th- a green that slopes severely back to front overall with a couple of somewhat flat areas for the pin. This pin is front right and if you don’t get onto that ledge or you are above the hole, your next is from front fringe…

our home course in Utah typically has their greens 12 to 13 for most of the summer .... their very fast but fair

Ballyhack were the fastest by far I’ve ever played. Running. A solid 13 and probably slicker once the wind is factored in. I don’t think people realize how fast 13 is

Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail. Prattville, AL. The Senator course.

Strangely.. this thread cursed me today. Local country club with huge greens are about to punch them. They've made them as fast as they could. One guy near the clubhouse said "14" but I'd say it wasn't that fast. Just sloped with the speed around 12 range made things really tough

The fastest I have played on were at Orange County National the Monday after Tour Q School on the Crooked Cat course. On the first hole I had about an 8 foot putt for birdie, took my putter back about 2 inches and left it about 8 feet past the hole. Between that and how high the rough was it really gave me new respect for how good tour golfers are.
