Favorite BBQ Region

Since my friends ask me to ship local brisket to them, I'll say Texas, although I appreciate differences in regions.

KC for sauce (sweet & sticky), Memphis for pulled pork and ribs (dry rub, sauce on the side), Texas for brisket.

Thank you! I'm glad I wasn't the only one sorely disappointed in the Rendezvous' ribs. They get a lot of ballyhoo, but were a huge letdown. Central BBQ in Memphis was much better than the 'Vous.
Central BBQ is my favorite I’ve ever had. Loved that place.

Yes, I am biased.

KC is king.

2 from KY that are underrated:

Central KY area sliced shoulder near Bowling Green, BBQ'd and served with a vinegar sauce.

Western KY smoked mutton out in Owensboro.

Watching the food channel they claimed Georgia Louisiana (new Orleans style) as BBQ states... Found that interesting as I know kc, St Louis, Texas and NC style

Don't sleep on the BBQ in the Midwest, lots of variety.

ONLY thing KC rules at. You can find all meats equally done well.

Love them all, but my ranking would be:
NC,
KC,
South Carolina
and then Texas

This 100%

Kansas City.
