We’ve been having some nostalgic movie marathons in our house this year... so far we’ve shown our kids

  • Top Gun
  • Indiana Jones trilogy (there was only 3!)
  • Spaceballs
  • Addams Family
  • Ghostbusters
Any nostalgic family movies to show your family?

The Goonies

*edit Gremlins!* went to the theater at least 4 times that summer to watch it!

Thinking about it I got more:

ET
Home Alone
Who Framed Roger Rabbit

The Princess Bride (not sure how old the kids are..)

A Hard Day's Night

Some great movies listed already.

I’ll stick with holiday themed

It’s A Wonderful Life
Christmas Vacation
Miracle on 34th Street (non color only)
Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer
‘‘Twas the Year Without a Santa Claus
The Santa Claus

Grease

Fantastic options in here already!

I’d add: The Muppet Movie
The Sound of Music
Mary Poppins
BIG
The Last Dragon
The Last Starfighter

My daughter has loved the Indiana Jones. She pretends to like Star Wars for me.

Lost Boys
Tron
Last Starfighter
Highlander

The sand lot. Monster squad.

Grumpy Old Men
Grumpier Old Men

Aggressive on the mute, especially when Grandpa appears!

My wife hooked them on Star Wars.

Back To The Future
Rocky
Ghostbusters
Indiana Jones
Forrest Gump

We have watched a ton of them. These are their favorites.

My daughter loved Indiana Jones too. She also loves Rocky.

Back to the future trilogy
Cone heads
Disney movies

There is nothing better than sitting on the couch with your son(or Daughter) and watching a movie you grew up on and maybe even watched with your dad! The Adventures of Robin Hood was definitely one I enjoyed sharing with my son.

How has no one said this....

How old are your kids again? and how did they receive it? Did they enjoy them as much as we did, or were they 'Old' movies with 'bad' graphic?

Kids are 12 and 10... They've loved every one of them (some much more than others). The graphics haven't really bothered them...though we chose not to show like early Star Trek. They still think Episodes 4, 5, and 6 are the best Star Wars movies
