Favorite Par 3 Length?

170-200 yards for me. Then it's a mid to long iron in length, and not just another short iron. Now plenty of factors can change the aspect of it with hazards but I like the par 3's a little longer.

150

I'm a fan of a nice 135 par 3. Usually a comfortable 9-iron for me.

Anything under 175. But preferred distance is 150ish

125-140 would be ideal. Full swing with a short iron.

145, that's where I got my HIO :)

Anything inside of 180 is good for me. Longer than that, I rarely make a smooth swing

140-175 otherwise daunting... 210+ is nightmarish and play for the bogey is my shift in mentality.

I like the short ones, anything up to about 140 or so, hitting a wedge or short iron just really works for me. A specific yardage, I'd say 130 to the middle, so on level ground it's a PW or 9-iron depending on where the pin is at, but if it's got a nice drop in elevation, like a lot of courses I play, it could go all the way down to a 50* or 56* wedge.

150-175 for me. basically anything I'm likely to hit 6i-8i on.

I was just talking to a friend who said his favorite par 3 length was 155. I had never really thought about it, but was curious where everybody else falls.

I'd have to go with 150 to 160 yards. Really just an 8 iron is nice easy par 3.

Yeah 150-175 is a fair enough range for me

150 is my stock 8 iron and I love that distance.

150-160 is usually pretty good for me.

185 ish for me. Means the front edge will be somewhere around 170. It's long enough to give other players trouble, but I like that number A LOT.

Honestly I'm not really any better with a 9i in hand than I am with a 6i or 7i, so that probably plays into it.

158

158!

145-155 is the best for nice easy swings on the 8 or 9 iron

I really like 150-155 bc that is what my 8 iron flies which is my favorite club.

150-170 as well...

8i. So depending on the weather and layout and whatnot, about 170.

⛳ 135-140 yds, a nice stock 8 iron

I like 120-140 any longer and it becomes hard to stay smooth through the ball for me.
