Just arrived at THP HQ is the FineCaddie UPL100 laser. Small and light weight, this unit seems to sell predominantly on Amazon with a price of $179.

Features vibration after flag lock.

Interested to hear your thoughts on this one, new gear is always fun, but first look is pretty generic to my eye. The plain look would be no big deal if performance is there though. Seems like the under $200 price range is getting pretty crowded, with some very good units out there, and many that are just so so.

No time with it yet, but just checking and its got a nice form factor. Definitely not as fast as the Voice Caddie we posted about yesterday though.

Good price point for an entry model. Seems like everyone had a rangefinder now. Lots of new models make for more choices.

For $179, it looks really nice. I wonder if it will stack up against Precision Pro.

I will be able to compare to an older Precision Pro model that my wife still uses. My league partner I think has a new PP rangefinder as well. I've been using the Voice Caddie one I reviewed last fall, so that will be a decent comparison as well.

I've only just begun looking at range-finders. I think it looks fine, and I wouldnt have any requirements for looks for a range finder. Accuracy is all that counts to me. If its accurate, thats a pretty nice price point!

Looks good - though I quite like leather finish on stuff like this. I immediately thought of the VoiceCaddie SL1. Different class, but it's where my mind went.

The finishing and design details make it look very high end

This device is getting it's first run on the course tonight. Getting it all charged up and ready to do. USB charging....thank you.

I can't say enough good things about this unit.

Really quick target lock. USB-C charging(thank you!), leather-ish material makes it comfortable in the hand and nice to touch. Certainly makes it stand out against a lot of plasticky alternatives. The lens is really clear too, which is a biggy on overcast days.

At the price of 179, this thing offers a lot of strong value and really strong performance. I actually like it better than the VC L4 that I've been using since the fall.

It seems really small in hand too.

it certainly is and rather light. Its only like 4 inches long, so not even an inch more than a credit card.
