First Look: Cleveland RTX ZipCore Wedges

I am. I’ll be working with the yahoo’s picked to review them on the forum. :ROFLMAO:
This yahoo is ready for some Cleveland wedge testing! Bring it on!

We know everybody is excited, but let's remember that a thread like this will be filled with tons of eyeballs looking for feedback and sometimes it is hard to go through pages of tracking delivery.

I haven't gotten anything. Just basing my excitement on what others have said. Living through their delivery dates!
I think I’m farther away than most. Well I’m closer to Cleveland but further from THP. ;)

Simply beautiful if you ask me. Time to change the grip so I can game this tomorrow.801976D5-4A47-4E2F-A1E5-1AC90D0FB19E.jpeg44A8CA2F-2B8E-409C-871B-A83670F259C2.jpeg6EC5C20E-43F6-4C8C-B922-124B0189AAF2.jpeg

Hey now! That's hawt!
I know we will be hearing lots of this, but in person this new ZipCore wedge is stunning. The pop is there visually. The two chrome pieces across the back just makes them appear expensive. How Cleveland Golf sells these at $149 is just amazing.

Couple more pics, the first was supposed to be the first one but I just couldn’t bring myself to do it. The last two are the new ZipCore next to the RTX4, both in 60 degree. I really want to go swing it but the new grip is on and needs to dry. I got to see 1 in person yesterday at demo day & oh man was it nice. He had to get it out of the van when I asked about it & said I could swing it, but not hit any balls or take pictures of it. That was like being a kid on Christmas morning with a new toy & batteries. 😠

I have currently RTX4 and CBX2 so I can do a bit of that. I have some Vokeys and MDs as well that I won’t compare but the Cleveland’s are in my bag and are not leaving any time soon. Once the new wedge gets here I’ll post my thoughts.
I know it's apples to oranges, but I'm looking forward to how they compare to the CBX2.

Just got done playing, but I see I have a delivery notification!

First impressions:
This was my third day is a row and I’m extremely exhausted at this point. I took the ZipCore 60 deg low bounce out to the range before my round. Not really the best because the range balls are terrible. However it is a good place for the first swings with a new club. I took 8 swings and that was all I needed. I was able to put the ball where I wanted and how I wanted it . Spin is really hard to tell with range balls but I figured I’d have plenty of opportunity on the course.

This is where most of what I wanted to test derailed due to user error. I just didn’t chip well at all today. It had nothing to do with the wedges it was all me. I did have a time or two and both of those sat next to the ball mark. What i did find is this ZipCore slices through the turf. I mean I was scalping the course with ease. Like a hot knife through butter. Second, the feels seems a bit softer than RTX4. Like the club is sticking to the ball which would explain the spin. More to come as I get more time with this wedge.96C22DCE-1BA4-43AC-AA0E-0E7A267F893C.jpeg

Absolutely beautiful in hand!

Couple PM’s, so for those curious and can’t tell all the way from my photos, Ive got the 54 Mid and 62 Low. Why these? According to a chart that Cleveland has these are the grinds that correspond closest via their recommendations for my 54D and 62M SM8’s.

Hoping after I get the twins down I can hit some shots on the GC2 on my indoor setup and get some numbers on a few little pitches and such to start.

The feel....it’s....good. Really good. Quite muted to my ears, but that was indoors on the mat
