This is a press release

Five Iron Golf, the global leader in golf and entertainment, is partnering with Callaway Golf, a leader in equipment design, performance, and innovation, to launch Callaway Tour Fitting. This premium, Tour-level fitting experience puts the golfer at the forefront to perfectly tailor their equipment needs to their game.

After revolutionizing indoor golf, Five Iron is now transforming the equipment fitting experience. With all Five Iron coaches becoming Callaway Certified Fitters, Five Iron is the first-ever indoor golf brand to globally offer Tour-level fittings backed by certification from a top golf equipment manufacturer.

“Five Iron and Callaway share the same vision of making golf for everyone and increasing enjoyment of the game, while genuinely helping players improve in the process. Partnering to launch Callaway Tour Fitting by Five Iron Golf accomplishes those goals,” said Jared Solomon, CEO and Co-Founder of Five Iron Golf. “A truly golfer-centric, premium experience within the dynamic, social atmosphere of our Five Iron locations, Callaway Tour Fittings will reshape the way golfers are fitted for equipment, whether they are experienced amateurs or newcomers to the sport.”

Exclusively available at all Five Iron Golf locations starting January 17, Callaway Tour Fitting is unlike any other fitting experience:

  • Coaching-Driven Approach: Fittings are conducted by Five Iron’s seasoned golf coaches, not salespeople, creating a relaxed environment and potential for a long-term relationship with the golfer. A welcoming experience for Five Iron first-timers, multi-year members, and everyone in between, the fitting allows golfers to try clubs over time – no pressure for an immediate purchase decision. There’s no requirement to have a Five Iron coach relationship going into the fitting, but Callaway Tour Fitting provides golfers the opportunity to work with their coach, before and after the fitting, to improve their game.
  • Affordability & Golfer-First Environment: Callaway Tour Fittings are $99/hour, making it more cost-effective than a typical boutique fitting. Often, fitting experiences can feel impersonal and push a purchase decision, whereas Five Iron prioritizes the golfer and their unique needs. Fittings will have the same social-focused and comfortable atmosphere synonymous with Five Iron, and golfers can enjoy the same amenities, like great food and beverage choices, as they are fitted.
  • Callaway’s Extensive Equipment Matrix: The fittings will feature the latest Callaway equipment and the new Elyte family of golf clubs, including 46 club heads, 207 shafts, 20+ putters and golf balls. With such intricate combinations of the most innovative equipment on the market, Five Iron fitters can precisely dial-in the clubs a golfer needs to take their game to the next level.
  • Conveniently Located Premium Fittings: As all Five Iron locations have become Callaway Master Fitter Certified, golfers in metropolitan areas now have many more options to go for a fitting that’s Callaway certified. Until now, within their city limits, New York City had one location with this Tour-level of certification, and Boston, Cleveland, Cincinnati and Detroit had none.

“Callaway Golf recognized how Five Iron Golf is evolving the world of indoor golf and entertainment, and we knew that together, we could change the game with how golfers are fitted and improve their equipment,” said Glenn Hickey, President of Callaway Golf. “As indoor golf increases in popularity, this is a massive opportunity for Callaway to bring its equipment and innovation expertise to Five Iron and their burgeoning community of golfers.”

Also rolling into all Five Iron locations will be Callaway’s recently launched radar-friendly golf ball. Designed specifically for simulator golf with ball flight and data precision, this new golf ball furthers Five Iron’s commitment to integrating leading innovations to enhance the golfer’s indoor experience.

Had never heard of the company until this press release. Be nice to have one in WV

This is cool. Never heard of them before this press release. Closest one to me is Atlanta so probably never use, but hope to see them expand.

Have never heard of them either. For $100 it’s not bad if you are looking specifically at Callaway clubs, and have one near you.
Nice to have the Elyte clubs available on Friday as well.

No Idea who this company is, but focusing and collaborating with an OEM seems like a win for both sides.

Very cool. This is probably a really good idea for both Callaway and Five Iron golf. Being able to get instruction a quality fitting and be able to just be at a chill sim place where you can go for entertainment is great. Wish one was closer to me.

$99 is a good price to have all the options Callaway offers and none of the up charges that the other fitters have.

This is a good thing.

Never heard of Five Iron golf, but more fitting opportunities is never a bad thing.

Never heard of them before this. There's one up in Cleveland if anyone around here has a hankering.

Always happy to see more opportunities for individuals to get fit! And this definitely seems like a good deal if you’re interested in Callaway clubs specifically.

Edit*

I thought there were 9 locations and i realize the page dynamically loads, so they have 20+ locations covering 18 metropolitan areas.

Pretty cool partnership…never been to a five iron golf but they look like a good time

Not sure if I’d call 99/hour cheap, if you’re doing a full bag you’re looking at a few hours that adds up…slightly cheaper than big places? Maybe but it’s probably kinda close

Hmm, not sure how relevant this is with 9 locations nationwide, but I do like the idea and concept of the partnership I suppose.
Its pretty relevant.
I mean Cool Clubs is known massively and have less than 20.
True Spec is considered a bigger name and they have less than 12 I believe in the US

Five Iron is growing pretty quickly, but more importantly its definitely relevant to people where they do have locations.

Interesting collaboration between the two as far as being able to provide a good Callaway fitting.

I also think it's relevant as 5 iron golf isn't just coming in as a fitting place but a Golf recreational SIM/bar place that also offers lessons and now quality fittings. Allowing it to have things for both serious golfers and the general public.

It will be interesting to follow their expansion. They are a hot topic right now and have been for the past year.

Have heard of these in Illinois, but I don't think there are any close to me. Still a really cool partnership. I think the X Golf closest to me partners with TaylorMade or PXG or something and that didn't really draw me in. Callaway would.

Surprised it took this long after the investment Callaway made in Five Iron Golf a few years ago.

This is fantastic! Get people fit properly at a fun location. Great way for Callaway to gain market share quickly on new and existing golfers!

This seems like a really great thing for the areas that Five Irons are at. I would think having fitting stuff at these locations could lead to some informal demoing as well which could lead to more sales

I’ve done a couple fitting events over at Five Iron in the last year. Really cool place, lots of plays, and their membership model seems interesting, and popular here. Every time I’ve been the place has been packed.
Very cool to see them ramp up the fitting aspect!

Didnt even realize they have a location in downtown Cleveland so I will be checking them out for sure.

There is one near me! I have a colleague who went when they first location in Boston. I'm happy to see them branch into tour level fittings. Being in the city and how crappy parking and the T (subway) is in Boston, I've never ventured. Seemed like a golf entertainment thing where you'd go instead of happy hour if you worked in the city. We have a few sim options closer (and cheaper).

I will say, for the market segment, if you do live in the city and don't want to venture out, there really aren't any high quality fitters within walking distance of a subway stop.

I love Callaway as a brand, but I wonder if a fitting studio that only offers one OEM can ever gain the same traction as a fitter such as Club Champion.
