This guy. I don't know if I qualify anymore for the #garagesimcrew since I moved it to the attic.

New to golf and had PLENTY of space in the basement, so, being the nerd that I am, recently built a simulator. Went with the Garmin R10, Carl's Place screen and enclosure (that was heavily discounted), BenQ TH671ST projector, budget 3060 gaming laptop, and the Dura-Pro Perfect Reaction mat. Paired all this with GSPro and I'm thrilled with the result. Think I spent right about $4K total. Sold an old mountain bike that I was no longer riding to pay for nearly half of that.

My only problem now is that I get obsessive and hit WAY too many balls and am dealing with all sorts of overuse aches and pains. I've got to get better at limiting myself AND stretching before sessions.

Anyhow, I'm loving this forum and would be happy to answer any questions re: my sim build.
This happens to me all the time, it is so addicting. My body doesn't appreciate it though.
Do most here use some type of ball holder or just hit one ball grab it and hit the same again?
I just have a ball tray sort of like you find on the range. I have a rotation of balls but depending on what I am doing may stick to 1 ball.
I do find myself hitting the same ball over and over, but they get marked up and destroyed rather quickly.
Yes they do get marked up rather quickly. I move them over to the outdoor range staff after they get too bad.

I use a tray I ordered from Amazon that holds 2 dozen balls, though I only have a dozen I pick up with a tube after I go through the 12. When those wear out I buy another dozen.

It got pretty cold over the weekend here in MN and looks like my insulating the garage has paid off. Outside was around 27 degrees or so and ran my warm up heater for around 20 mins and it was 58 degrees in there. Shut that heater off and put on the maintaining heater and it kept it around 55 for the couple hours I was out there. We will see how well this method works when it is like 5 degrees here.

We shall allow it.
Thank you. I didn't want to get kicked out of the crew.

The attic setup is so much better because I don't have to set up the entire thing and then take it down when I need to use it.

Yeah that is a great feature.

I am both of these things but don't have space to put a full sim in my current house.

Right here!

I have a range bucket that I use and will hit 15 balls and then gather them. If I was just playing SIM golf it would most likely be just a single ball.

I just hit one at a time. I keep a rotation of a couple. I use the Pro V1 RCTs as I have a radar based monitor at the moment. I use a fresh one for a game ball and it becomes my warm-up ball as it gets beat up.

I have one of these, hold around 3 dozen easily. I have to fill it once or twice a round.

I feel @JB is up to something and I'm all for it!

I still haven't finished my set up, but yes to A and B.

I have paused mine. Thinking in the next year or so we may build so I'll wait until then.

A picture of mine that I just completed.

Like I said upthread, was a budget build, but I absolutely love it!
