Can any Garmin watch do golf if you go through Garmin Connect and download courses, even though not a golf specific watch?

Not any Garmin watch, it has to be one of the models that has golf capabilities included in it. The Fēnix series do it, and so did my ForeRunner 935. I use my Fēnix 6 for golf all the time.

My Fenix 6 has golf gps and you can keep score on it.

I have the Epix 2 which has golf GPS and score tracking. Great display on the watch too.
