Well -this will blow your mind !!! Hand Couple does not move the centre of mass of the club . It causes the club to rotate around it's COM (ie. causes the club to spin).
Therefore the 'hand couple' cannot realistically be happening because the grip end is prevented from swivelling in a real golf swing ('inverse dynamic maths' and reality don't totally mix here).
The only forces that can move the COM in the golf swing is the linear force applied by the hands on the grip along its hub path, and something called the MOF ( as per screen image further below).
There are 3 accelerators of the clubhead (but not COM for hand couple) all combined together:
1. Linear force
2. Moment of force caused by that Linear force
3. Hand Couple
Here are some diagrams that may assist for those who are interested in all this stuff (my diagram below is just an example using rectilinear motion not curvilinear).
Here is what the net force does (ie. moving the clubs COM in a curvilinear motion) while the hand couple spins the club.
