I like how you’re practicing with the lines to see your positioning and the numbers to get the same feedback as in the lesson.Practice session tonight (11.3.25) to work on hip rotation, backswing and downswing.
I did a few one handed swings, some super slow swings (they feel so weird), 3/4 swings and full swings.
I was using the slower speed swing to help focus on balance and tempo to help with rushing at the top. During the slower swings I also exaggerated swinging to the right to try and help promote an in to out path.
I tried a few pauses at the top of my back swing then lowering my hands and arms towards my trail side hip to help the upper body from opening too early.

Still over the top a little on down swing
I started to get a little better with the back swing (stay in between the yellow lines) but still coming in over the top on the down swing.
Over all, the practice session today helped a bit. One hour flies by when your messing around.
It definitely helps when using the Practice Button Box to replay your swing vids. Just don't hit button 1 by accident after a good swing.I like how you’re practicing with the lines to see your positioning and the numbers to get the same feedback as in the lesson.
I absolutely love the slow swing logic for your move. Going to calm down a lot of the stuff we talked about at GB.Practice session tonight (11.3.25) to work on hip rotation, backswing and downswing.

Absolutely. Slowing the swing down definitely helps but feels weird all together. I'm getting better at it though.I absolutely love the slow swing logic for your move. Going to calm down a lot of the stuff we talked about at GB.
That's awesome. Glad you're utilizing the practice.
160!!!Today's practice really reinforced what I've been working on the past week by showing up in my swing.
Last week's lesson focused on incorporating the trail hand for power and getting into the proper position. This means trying to keep the trail elbow in during the backswing and then getting that throwing motion with the trail hand. I started the practice session by swinging a wedge choked down with my trail hand. First making sure the hinge is correct, then halfway in the backswing, then 3/4 max. For most people their trail hand is their dominant hand, for me it is not. It felt awkward at first, but in this short time I have got some additional strength and familiarity with the motion.
I want to brush the ground nicely with that a few times one handed and, on a lark, added a ball into the mix. To my surprise, I could lob em out there not too bad. It will improve over time too. I moved through various irons, trying out a few heads that are available in store, and finished with driver. What I have found is through technique and not effort I have added 2-7 mph to my clubhead speed. Previously I would cruise a 7i at 85-88mph, now it's 88-95mph. Driver was 102 tonight I saw it at 109. Small change, huge impact. In fact, I believe I caught my first recorded 160 ball speed drive, which came right after a 159 ball speed drive.

The most important part of that is there was no over swing. There was no effort. It was all technique and smooth. That means I'm theory whenever I find that feel again it's on course relatable.160!!!
Let's go! That's a big number.
that's exciting!!! It's funny how much less energy is expelled when you're putting an efficient move on the ball. It's almost like it's.. easier lmaoThe most important part of that is there was no over swing. There was no effort. It was all technique and smooth. Swing changes are hard. I'm an over thinker on the course so it's been difficult to score lately, but that's okay and part of the process. The added speed has also made me realize I need to do a new distance check on the bags. Was long a few too many times today.
A lot easier. So much so it's easy to forget and go back to putting in effort and making it all go to sh** againthat's exciting!!! It's funny how much less energy is expelled when you're putting an efficient move on the ball. It's almost like it's.. easier lmao
Same on starting late. When did you start? What kind of improvement have you seen on the course? What are you working on now?Glad to see other folks improving their game with GolfTEC. I'm been taking lessons and using their facilities for practice. I started late on my golf journey, so the coaching, practice, and visuals helped a lot.
I started playing about 3 years ago. Been with GolfTEC a little more than 1.5 years and my handicap dropped to 19-20. I think it could be even lower if I play smarter and less aggressive on the course. The challenging part with GolfTEC is the limited outdoor coaching, so learning to chip and hitting out of bunker is limited.Same on starting late. When did you start? That's awesome to hear you've had success and continue to improve! Seeing progress through not only the lens of scores dropping but as "the bad stuff" not being as bad is really important and easily forgotten. Was just saying to a friend today after a particularly stinky round that it had been a while shooting in the high 90s, but it's still better than shooting in the 100s like I used to. My form and ball striking improved enormously. It's definitely noticeable on the course. My dispersion is tighter, so the ball stays in play and I'm losing less balls. Most importantly, my misses are still moving the ball forward and in play!
We have been working on my swing path and early release. My swing path is too inside and I release the club too early. I tend to overdraw and launch high. I cannot hit a cut or fade with my irons.
