We are now at hole 2 and the first par 5 on the course. What a fantastic looking hole!! The green grass framed by the prairie lands just off the hole create an amazing contrast. You will enjoy this hole. Unless you get wide or the wind blows you to OZ.
While this hole is not overly long for a par 5 the prevailing wind will be blowing straight across the fairway. The landing zone does provide some width for a little forgiveness of the tee. ButQ don't let the trick you into thinking it is an easy tee shot or hole. The wind can be fierce and a weak drive can get eatin up by the wind. If you get out to the prairie grass you will be crying for Aunty Em before the hole is over, clicking you heels and saying "there is no place like home"..

If you get your ball in the fairway off the tee. The goal then is to play mostly up the left and avoid the bunkering that runs up the right side to the green. There are contouring on the left side of the fairway that can help feed your ball towards the green. Or if you are feeling brave and want to go for this narrow but wide green. I would suggest to err on the side of going long. There is a back stop that can help get your ball back down to the green.

The green has a lot of contour to it. Especially on the front right of the green. So this is no easy two putt or up and down. Good luck to anyone that hits their approach short in the bunker.. You will have to have a very strong bunker game to get out and up and down from there.

This is a potentially scoreable hole. That could also cause a complete melt down if you get off course. Even though it is not overly long, intention and a thought out plan for this hole will help you be successful. This is not a hole to get greedy on thinking it is a pushover par 5.

Playing this course is going to require some creativity and imagination to be successful. This is not your typical parkland target golf course. Look ahead and see where the contours are and use them to you advantage. Don't make them your enemy.
