I wanted to pause for a min so that we could all pay attention to the Srixon experience at Briggs. But we are back with a very difficult hole in front of us with hole number 6.

This is the #1 handicap hole that does not really offer very many breaks or easy outs. This lengthy par 4 makes you work for it from Tee all the way to the green.

Off the tee you are going to want to place your ball between the two fairly large fairway bunkers left and right of the fairway. I would suggest hugging as far right as possible. This will give you the best look at the green that is down in a hole tucked between two more bunkers. If you go left off the tee in the bunker, you might as well switch gears in your head and think of this as a par 5 and play to the right of the green. Going for the green from the left trash has the potential for a sky rocketing score on this hole.. Take your medicine and don't try for a hero shot. To me, if you are going to miss the fairway.. Miss to the right.

When I say the green is down into a hole. I mean it is down into a hole. From the fairway the green is about 20 feet down hill to the left. Use this to your advantage. This is were links golf can be super fun.. Use the contours to help feed the ball along the ground on to the green from the right rather than try and fly it on. Missing this green short, long, or left is going to again cause strokes to pile up.

The green is a bit of a bowl so everything will somewhat feed on. This is what I mean when I say use the contours. Try and enter the green from the right and let the ball funnel to the hole.

The green itself is not too crazy.. Once on, you will be faced with a relatively flat(ish) putt. It is just getting to the green that is the challenge on this hole.

I dont know what direction the wind will be on this hole, but you can bet it will be a factor. The tee shot is intimidating, and the shot to the green needs to be precise. The 6th hole is going to take some names and cause some casualties..

thats a cool hole

Will be a fun hole to play someday. Kinda reminds me of a couple of holes on the Ocean Course at Kiawah. Minus hte marsh and water.

This tee shot scares the heck out of me.

Looks like a fun hole, but could definitely see it go south real quick. It does look like a decently wide landing spot on the tee shot, just the right area for a good look at the approach is a much smaller zone.

A beach vacation in the middle of Nebraska. Who would of thought.

I really like this hole. This hole just works for me. I made a solo birdie in shamble and par in singles. Playing the #1 handicap hole that well is one of my highlights.

The entire time we were there the wind is blowing straight down the fairway which is strong right to left from the tee. Between the hole shape and wind it freed me up to blast away with driver because the ball isn’t going right (hooking). On the tee there are power poles in the distance that are nice targets to aim at.

The green is maybe 15 feet below the fairway and dead down wind. Stopping the ball can be a challenge. Playing the terrain you can land it 5-10 yards short and right of the green and it will bound back onto the green. Playing to the red circle will get you onto the putting surface.

In alternate shot we went into the back bunker and that is just an insanely difficult bunker shot. Green sloping away from you, downhill lie, healthy lip to clear. You very much don’t want to be in that bunker.

This is already a Par 5 in my mind @Templet0n

This whole should play around 420 but sort of with the wind. A good drive will put you about 20 yards shy of the green with a short bump in. The average player should have a short wedge in. The tee shot is the hardest part but it’s a decently large fairway. For a front or middle pin, you’ll probably want to land something just short of the green and have it run on

Man I hope so... I assume just get something in the fairway and then something started towards front of green.
If I had to guess, you’ll be comfortably inside 150 yards. Realistically your shot will probably play 20 yards shorter too because it slopes down to the green and the ball will run

I can handle that (hopefully :ROFLMAO: ).

Just saw its only 258 to that bunker. Something less than driver off the tee, or driver and try to get one in that next big opening closer to the green.

Probably 3W off the tee to keep it straight(ish) and out of the bunkers. Go against one of my stated goals this year and don’t take the extra club on the approach shot, land it short and hope for the roll to the green.

Fun looking hole.

The wind off the tee is going to throw people off. For righty hitting a fade/slice off the tee is going to get eaten up by the wind.

I really liked this hole in September. It does require an accurate tee shot, but the funnel factor on the approach is so cool and makes it unique and fun. The approach shot for short knockers like me is somewhat blind, but if you trust the caddie's line and distance, it will pay off. Drop the approach down from the right side, let it run down the slope, and you can get a look at birdie.

Looks perfect for my fade:)

Now a back left pin 📌 placement on this hole would make that 2nd shot even worse 🤔 nice hole that requires precision the entire way

5w. Wedge short on right side and it funnel in.
Got it.

Long hole only because it’s a blind shot into the green because it sits under the hills. Too short and you end up with some wicked long putts, too long and that bunker can eat you up
