Greatest Double Album of all Time?

So, it's about the number of songs or simply the numbers of CDs?

Number of cds or records or cassettes. Song numbers do not matter

Vinyl has up to 25 mins per side, so max 50 mins. That is why it was common to see 4 songs per side for vinyl. And, why double albums were a bit more common because of capacity limitations.

Tape cassettes hold 60 to 90 minutes total, cds hold up to 80 mins or 640MB max. This gives a bit more room to play with since vinyl.

So, a double vinyl is basically a normal to just over average CD?

Was a Sophomore in HS when Yellow Brick Road came out - Just blew everyone away.

You’re giving away your age. I was in 5th grade when that album came out.

2pac - All Eyez on Me

If you are going to include triple albums, Paul McCartney and Wings, Wings Over America. :drinks:

Well turns out YBR was released in 1973 so I was in 7th grade.

If were talking triple albums, I’ll offer The Band’s The Last Waltz.

Rush - Exit...Stage Left is the first double LP I had and it just blew me away...still does.
