Greatest Iron Set- You Ever Owned?

Apex 16 pro, Srixon Z forged

My current iron set-Srixon ZX4 MKII- are the best iron set I have ever had. Still love the interaction between the turf and club. Before that my fav was probably my Wilson FatShaft irons which I had years ago until they were stolen out of the trunk of my car:(
Dang! What were the fatshafts supposed to do?

I had a set top. They looked and felt great. I loved the color options.
They are still my favorite all around looking iron

Toss up:
Best feel: Mizuno MP30 or "09 Cally X-Forged ( Endo Forged )
Best golf: Adams A4 Forged, Adams Pro Black CB2
I really liked the CB2s. Suck good looking irons as well. Felt amazing with the right shafts

Toss up, My Srixon Zxi5 MKII's or the Titleist MB 690's

I’ve thought about this for a while - THP has sent many iron sets through my hands either by testing opportunities or via the marketplace 👍. I can say the only irons I truly regret moving on from were the Titleist 716 CB, so I’ll give those the nod.

The Nike CCi Forged were also an amazing feeling iron when you centered it, so they get first runner up.

The Fatshafts were supposed to make me a better golfer, unfortunately me being the golfer attached to them they didn't always work :) .
I just liked the way they felt during the swing. Felt a little heavier than other clubs I had at the time. Looking back they were probably no heavier it just seemed that way to me.

Hogan Apex '96 for me. Although I wouldn't put a set of irons in the bag unless I feel like they are the best available irons for me at the time.

The only true mistake I've made in irons was the Mizuno MP-30s - wow those looked good but totally sucked. Three years of misery.
Those Hogan Apex were a set I absolutely loved for a long time. I fell in love with the game having those in the bag

Wonder if they will ever bring em back

Ping i210 for me if I had to play for money, these are going straight back in the bag.

Feel 2019 apex pro double dots with no face cup. The iron that lead to the TCB but had no stainless face.

I have played and bought some of the best equipment money can buy and to say which one was the best set of irons would definitely be the current set I'm playing now. To have the best that you think are or were doesn't always mean they were the best that you have ever played as I have had some very remarkable shots with my Ti 250 Fusion irons as I have had with so many other irons from Mizuno, PING, TM as well. So if I didn't feel like what I'm playing now wasn't the best irons that I have ever played they would be for sale and on their way out. I don't have or play multiple sets of irons as that would be too difficult for me since once I find a set that works no need in looking elsewhere. Now for putters thats different as I like playing the best Blade putter and the best mallet putter at least they are for me. So now for the reason why I feel like the Ti 250's are the best is because I hit more GIR's and have started to become a much better putter as I'm getting more birdie chances than I have with any other set of irons.

Callaway Ai smoke by a mile so far

Ugh, lots of contenders here.

For different reasons, it's probably a 4way horse race between the Srixon ZXi7s, Cleveland Ta3's, Mizuno 221s, and Titleist 962Bs.

I would probably put the Mizunos out front by a nose, followed by the Clevelands and Srixons in a photo finish tie, and the 962Bs in 4th. My swing changed throughout this progression quite a bit, and the Mizunos probably have the best fitting shaft for me, so there is confounding data that might result in a different ranking if I played them all today with the same shafts.

I was thinking about all of the iron sets I have ever own, and I think that the Callaway TiFusion 250 is the greatest iron set that I have ever owned… What about you?
Not my favorite or the coolest but I played my best golf with the R9TP…

It's always going to be "The current ones" if I don't think they are the best I'm not playing them. And if they are the best I'm not going to be changing them until a new best comes along.

I played my best golf with a set of kzg muscle back blades.

Haven’t owned a ton of different irons so I dont have a ton to pick from , but hard to not pick my current set - Ai200s. They check all the boxes for me.

I love this set and always will

The irons in my bag right now, the Ai200s. Going back to sets over the years, I'd say PING i20s. Probably some nostalgia there, but the only set I ever regretted moving on from.

strive to always move forward....

Current gammers. Callaway Elyte.

Gotta be the Cobra LIMIT3Ds.

Mizuno JPX921 Hot Metals

So I have not been golfing for too long. Here are the following sets I have owned:
1. Callaway Edge
2. Srixon ZX5
3. Cobra Darkspeed One Length
4. Cobra King Tech X One Length

My current gamers (Cobra King Tech X One Length) are my absolute favorite.

Once I switched to the darkspeeds my game got a lot better quickly, so I kind of committed to the One Length tech at that time....but hated how the darkspeeds looked.

Well the King Tech X are the best of both worlds, they look great and play great!

Cobra LIMIT3D. Hopefully the 3DP MBs will be even better.
