Grip Tape Application: Spiral Wrap or Straight

Straight, used to be spiral back in the day when you had to buy the roll of tape.

When I first started this hobby, many years ago, 3/4 inch tape was all that was available; so, we spiraled...Ping still does. But since
the wider tape became available, it's just easier (though probably more expensive) to put it on straight. Not a big deal to me....

I have always done spiral, use 3/4 tape.

Straight. The first video I watched was straight.

I use air so it's a straight wrap of 2" wide masking tape. If I need to use double sided taped then its the 3/4 in tape a spiral wrap as that's the only roll I have.
