Happy Length for Par 3?

Based on history I guess somewhere between 137 (my first ace) and 156 (my second ace)? :ROFLMAO:

I like a good 8 iron hole. Short enough to feel getable, but long enough to not be a pushover. Whatever yardage that is for someone. For me it is in the 140-150 range depending on elevation and wind.

I feel great when someone says “135 to the pin”

148

129 yards

There is a hole on my home course that plays to that distance often, I have one hole in one on it and a few inside 10 feet. Just sets up well for me.

135. Nice smooth 9 iron for me.

150 yards. I'll take it all day.

My home-ish course throws 190-205 par threes at me all the time from the blues, and that's not my game.

140-145

130 yds. It’s a stock PW and is easy to have a reasonable accuracy to have a chance at birdie. 165 and more for me has me thinking about having a manageable 2nd shot after the tee.

175. It’s not that I’m great at that distance, I just really like hitting a 6i. Despite it not accounting for my closest approaches I have the most confidence with it. Performance-wise it’s my 9i at 143.

210 is my favorite distance. Any chance to use my 5 wood off the tee makes me happy. Easily the most confident club in my bag at the moment.
Thats your happy length?! I absolutely hate 200+ yard par 3s.

144 yards

120-150

145

That's the number for the best target at my normal practice range so I work to it a lot.

I don't trust the distances with my irons half the time. My 5 wood feels almost automatic and puts me right at 200-210.

130-160 is where I feel most comfortable and confident. I don’t like 170-190, particularly if it’s peppered with hazards around the green.

Over 190 is okay provided it’s not like 230+. Hitting a FW or driver on a par 3 isn’t fun, but I do enjoy the odd par 3 that requires a precise long iron shot. On the other hand I love a reachable high risk high reward par 4, a la #17 at TPC Scottsdale.

I play par 3s as “par 3.5”. Given four of them in a round my goal is to play them collectively +2 or better.

135-150, I've always enjoyed that. Three hole in ones since 1969, none from those numbers.

I like the 135-155 range. I want to be able to hit my 7i or 8i on a par 3.

Everybody has that par 3 hole that they get to and are excited about the distance number. What is your perfect number?
135 and 175 are the two I like best.

Anything under 150 and I feel fairly confident.

165 because I love my 7 iron courtesy of Golftec.

215. I'm pretty happy with anything that isn't a wedge shot (under 140) at this point

On second thought, give me 195. I'm really happy with my 4 hybrid in hand and I know others tend to not like that distance if we have a match going.
This got me thinking and I like it.
Off the cuff I would say 145 but my stats tell me I am lying to myself.
190-200 with the 5hy. I love pulling this club and the data confirms it too.

135-140

I love a par 3 around the 140 mark
