Never have but would be fun. Not from a score well perspective but from a entertainment perspective in keeping myself engaged with hitting shots and trying new ones.

Maybe only once, but that shot was awesome.

Only once and honestly just to do crazy stuff like this

The first golf course I worked at was on the water and we got a day that was just bending flagsticks alllll day

So the shop staff went out and goofed around

It was insane

Nope, I'm a precious sunflower. I would be flying my sweet kite if I had wind like that.

Yes...lost a lot of balls that day!

Played Bandon like that. Rikshas with golf bags on them were being blown over.

Winds 20+ with gusts over 45 per the news was the worst I remember having looked up. Cross winds were a blast. The ball would oscillate on shag carpet greens. It was fun because of how ridiculous it was.

I played once in winds that were steady at about 70km (45+ miles). It was really miserable.

that's crazy!! would be fun to try to do that

Not far off. Yeah.

It would be fun for me downwind and crosswind right to left. Against the wind my drive would go about 50 yards lol.

Not quite that strong, but I have played a couple of rounds in pretty windy conditions. Some shots are laughable just watching what the wind does to the ball while it's in the air.

Probably. They were whipping pretty damn hard during the first Jankfest in Tucson.
Exactly the day I was thinking of. It was a bit breezy that day.

I play an ocean side course and probably once a year we play with winds gusting into the 40s. On those days you remove all score expectations and try to have fun.

Yes. Loaded up 5 of us into my RV and road tripped for a long weekend in Macolm, IL for our buddy's graduation. 4 of us were able to shake off the hangover from the night before, to go play a round of golf at Harry Mussato Golf course. Wind was gusting hard. Hole #17 was a par 3 that had a large pond directly between the tee box and the green. The pond was probably 120 yards long and the wind was dead into our face. The first guy got up and swung his 7 iron and the ball probably went 100 yards to land in the middle of the pond. 2nd guy swung his 5 iron and had a similar result. 3rd guy just quit the round. He didn't even swing. I pulled out my driver, opened up the face and took aim to the left of the pond. It sliced around the pond and ended up on the front fringe. I did not expect a good result. I did it more as a joke to illustrate how ridiculous the conditions were. It was one of my more memorable golf shots, to be honest.

Nothing ever that bad....that looks horrible TBH lol.

Did a couple weeks ago. It was 25-35 with gusts over 50 and it sucked.

Some pre-hurricane stuff before I had a sense.

Yep Ballyhack in October.

This looks a lot like the Distance Bash back in 2020 at Hammock Beach. The Ocean Course had lots of wind and it was cold. Remember @BigDill and @e1iterate ?

This looks absolutely miserable in any other situation than a THP experience. And even then it’s…a lot

I'll be at the bar.
