The crossed-out bird represents a swallow I hit mid-flight on a second shot into a par 5. Took his head clean off! Never had a hole in one but I'm sure statistically this was far rarer!? Felt bad for the bird and for the fact that my playing partners didn't agree with giving me a birdie ;-)

I don’t have a collection like a lot of u guys, by the way this thread has a good chance of changing that. I didn’t realize how many awesome head covers there are. I go the other way to cover my Futura x5 as not to draw attention to somebody who might be tempted to illegally borrow it.

Good one. I agree 100 percent about not advertising the expensive clubs in one's bag. I use non-OEM covers on my clubs including Gloveskin headcovers on my Miura irons (head protection but also stealth). While I still prefer to use nice-looking non OEM headcovers, I also get that using an older and different OEM headcover is even smarter from a safety perspective.

Here's the PRG Americas cover I picked when I recently bought my new Scotty Phantom X 5.5 on vacation in Maui. The store staff thought the non-OEM cover was a VERY good idea for safety. Besides all that, man, the stock bright yellow ones on the Phantom X are so ugly!IMG_0297.JPG

BTW... I use a quality water-repellant spray (Ecco) on leather or faux leather covers. More for keeping dirt from sticking to any embroidery than waterproofing.

Random headcover question: has anyone ever talked to Scotty or a Scotty Cameron rep and asked about their reasoning for going Velcro over magnetic closure? Just seems odd that such a major company like Scotty Cameron wouldn’t switch to a magnetic closure. Feels so much more premium with a magnetic closure, IMO.

The answer to this question is that a rep will never have the answer. Scotty makes all of the decisions. He also never explains his reasoning. If asked he'll say, as he's famous for saying, "you never know."

But personally, I hope to never see the switch. I don't like magnetic closures.

Nah, just fast on the ApplePay when they go live. Though this one was an ebay grab for silly cheap! Got lucky, missed this release and have wanted it BADLY.
