I have the Auditor Beam Balance and it seems to do the trick, it was like $100 shipped a few years ago.
If you measure balance point and weight and use this calculator it's actually quite accurate:
If you use Grams and mm for the units, it will tell you within 1/2 a SW point (i.e. Flashes between D1/D2 when youre at .5 SW point.).
I use that website to check my beam balance scale occasionally and I've never had the beam balance be wrong...unless it's on a surface that's not flat.
