Read a tons of reviews on here of many training aids. But really curious about dewiz, skytrak gamer tags, hackmotion etc

How truly accurate is their data? For example. The sky track gamer tags have hand speed, and clubface angles in your swing. Same as the Dewiz watch. How accurate is their data ? Or is it basically algorithms?

I’ve looked and looked and can’t find any info online or YouTube that verifies how accurate or inaccurate these devices are. Would be great to know if they are off a few degrees or many. Seems like those would be a huge selling point saying their data is within say “x” degrees-speed of top of the line swing monitors.Even sent an email to one manufacturer and never got a response.Must be like an Willy Wonka style gob stopper formula secret that only they know

Anything that is using data and plugging it into an algorithm will only be as accurate as the data actually recorded and the algorithm used to aggregate/display that data. So... I'd say most of them are accurate enough to help you find what is way out of whack, but not accurate enough to help you make minute adjustments.

Makes sense. So it will red flag issues from your base entry numbers using these algorithms. The info won’t be exact. But it is enough to realize something is out of the norm.

It looks like the swing speed readings match up with trackman launch data. But hand speed, club face-angle of attack-swing path degrees are algorithms that either rely on a watch-or iPhones internal gps/leveling systems.

Would be great if these companies would do a modified break down on how these algorithms are effected from the baseline numbers inputted.Than maybe one can even use the data more accurately.I do understand anything under a grand will never be able to compete with a $30k plus golf launch monitor system with force plates and multi camera views that capture multiple data points for more accurate data

What are skytrak gamer tags?

Pretty sure he is talking about SkyGolf GameTraX 360, it's an Shotscope/Arcoss like system for shot tracking that also says it includes 3D swing capture:

Oh gotcha. Yeah I had not heard of Skytrak gamer tags. I have a skytrak launch monitor and it’s very accurate. And I have Shot Scope tracking and it’s very accurate.

It's like a newer version of their old skypro that goes on every club, does full shot tracking on the course and shows full swing data and 3d view of the swings. It's measuring the data like the skypro did, not just using algorithms. Someone send me a quad and I'll do a comparison video for you to see where they stack up :ROFLMAO:
