At 93% lean, there isn’t enough fat content to give the meat any flavor, regardless of the degree of doneness. For me, a good burger has always been more about the beef than the condiments needed to make it palatable.I am a medium well guy on burgers. Very little pink. However, if you go with the 93% fat burger instead of the 80% then a medium with more pink is necessary.
Even my wife, a former 93:7 girl who is fat and calorie conscious, has finally conceded that 80:20 is the way to go. For her, the trade off of a smaller patty size for more flavor is more than worth it.
