I think you might be on to something... I’d need to include all bikes though... dirt, enduro, and cruisers.

A few of those were enduro/dualsport bikes. I've never owned a pure streetbike, just street legal dualsporters. Right now if I was in the market, I'd be all over a Honda Africa Twin!

I like that Honda! I’ve never heard of the Africa Twin before! Sharp looking machine... and with some super interesting options too!
I’m still fairly smitten with the Yamaha Super Tenere though... but not sure I could sell my Harley.

Four very used cars in the decade after college for me and then 9 company vehicles in the 20 years following. My wife’s old car since then. That means I’ve never owned a new vehicle but my wife has had five new vehicles and one used vehicle since we were married over 25 years ago.

I don’t really count the company cars as I would have never picked any of those. We’ve always kept our cars over 100,000 miles except for my company cars.

Here’s what we actually purchased with our own money since marriage 25 years ago: All of them are/were my wife’s cars except the 2015 Bug Convertible which my oldest daughter drives. Our first new vehicle was the 2020 A4 and until age 50 we had only owned two new vehicles ever. The Buick Enclave was the only vehicle I hated (as I do almost any SUV) but it was my wife’s and we needed the room to run our three kids around and gave it to our son at age 16 with 120,000 miles on it. Yes we own two 2014 Audi A4’s but the second one we just bought last year with only 32,000 miles on from my wife’s mom who the dealer offered only $17k on trade. We gave her $20k and it looks brand new.

With four drivers and our youngest getting her permit soon, the last 5 vehicles we still own and none will get replaced anytime in the next few years and it’s very possible we will put 200,000+ miles on the Rover and Tesla before we replace them.

03 - New Honda Accord (over 230,000 miles when we departed ways in 2019)
